Impact of Federation of Agricultural Commodity Associations of Nigeria on the Economic Empowerment of its Members

Die Abgrenzung der beiden Vereinsklassen ist seit Erlass der §§ 21, 22 BGB umstritten. Hintergrund des Meinungsstreits sind sowohl der Sinn und Zweck der Vereinsklassenabgrenzung als auch der Begriff des wirtschaftlichen Geschäftsbetriebs. Nicht wirtschaftlichen Vereinen ist das Unterhalten eines solchen, insbesondere unter Berufung auf den unzureichenden Gläubiger- und Mitgliederschutz im Vereinsrecht, grundsätzlich untersagt. Diese Arbeit untersucht, ob nach heutigen Maßstäben überhaupt noch ein Bedürfnis für ein solches Verbot besteht.

Die rapide Entwicklung digitaler Technologien und ihre Integration in sämtliche Bereiche der Gesellschaft verändern grundlegend die Art und Weise, wie wir arbeiten, kommunizieren und leben. Insbesondere für Unternehmen, sowohl in der privaten als auch in der öffentlichen Sphäre, bedeutet dies eine tiefgreifende Umwälzung ihrer Prozesse und Strukturen.Die vorliegende Arbeit widmet sich einem spezifischen Aspekt dieser digitalen Transformation, nämlich ihrer Auswirkungen auf öffentliche Betriebe. Dieser Fokus ist von besonderer Relevanz, da öffentliche Institutionen und Unternehmen oft als Träger essenzieller Dienstleistungen fungieren, die unmittelbar das Leben und Wohlergehen der Bürger beeinflussen. Die Frage, wie öffentliche Betriebe die Chancen der digitalen Transformation nutzen können, um ihre Dienstleistungen effizienter und bürgernäher zu gestalten, steht im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit.Die Notwendigkeit für eine verstärkte digitale Transformation in öffentlichen Betrieben wurde nicht zuletzt durch die Herausforderungen der Corona-Pandemie deutlich. Die Krise zwang die Verwaltungen dazu, sich rasch an die neuen Anforderungen anzupassen und Prozesse mit digitalen Technologien zu unterstützen. Dabei wurden nicht nur bestehende Defizite offengelegt, sondern auch das enorme Potenzial digitaler Lösungen aufgezeigt.In dieser Arbeit werden zunächst die Grundlagen und Definitionen der digitalen Transformation sowie öffentlicher Betriebe erläutert, um ein gemeinsames Verständnis für die folgenden Analysen zu schaffen. Im Anschluss daran werden die spezifischen Herausforderungen und Chancen der digitalen Transformation in öffentlichen Betrieben herausgearbeitet. Hierbei liegt ein besonderes Augenmerk auf der Identifizierung von Barrieren und Potenzialen, die die erfolgreiche Umsetzung dieser Transformation beeinflussen.Ein zentraler Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit liegt auf der Entwicklung konkreter Handlungsempfehlungen für öffentliche Betriebe, um die digitale Transformation erfolgreich zu gestalten. Dabei werden praxisorientierte Strategien vorgestellt, die es den öffentlichen Institutionen ermöglichen, die Herausforderungen zu bewältigen und die Chancen der digitalen Transformation bestmöglich zu nutzen.

Seminar paper from the year 2023 in the subject Business economics - Business Ethics, Corporate Ethics, grade: 1,7, Heilbronn University, language: English, abstract: The goal of this paper is to find out if and why greenwashing is a curse for society, what the difference to sustainability is, how companies like Nike are involved and how they are dealing with it. 

In the first chapter this seminar paper is dedicated to the basics and will answer the following questions: What does greenwashing and what does sustainability mean? What are the different forms and characteristics of greenwashing? Is greenwashing and sustainability the same thing and if not, what are the differences? 

So here follows the classification and explanation of the term’s sustainability and greenwashing as well as their distinction from each other. 
The second chapter deals exclusively with the Nike brand. Here the corporate philosophy is explained, and the sustainability strategy is shown. This is underpinned by practical examples. 
The third chapter deals with the consequences and effects of greenwashing. It explains what the sins of greenwashing are and whether and how it affects today's society. Again a few examples are listed to provide practical relevance and to make it clear that it affects the entire society. 
How to reduce and recognize greenwashing are the subjects of chapter four. Additional solutions are sought here to avoid greenwashing. 
After that there will come a summary and a conclusion of the whole seminar paper.

Greenwashing. What it is, what impact it has and what Nike has to do with it

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2023 in the subject Economics - Finance, grade: Distinction, National University of Science &amp; Technology Zimbabwe (Finance), language: English, abstract: This study examines the impact of inflation and monetary policy shocks on stock market performance in Zimbabwe from 2000 to 2022. Using data obtained from the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) returns, inflation rates obtained from the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT), and interest rates obtained from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, the study analyzes the relationship between these variables' regression where ZSE returns are the dependent variable while inflation and interest rates are the independent variables. The research findings suggest that inflation has a negative impact, while monetary policy shocks have a positive impact on stock market performance in Zimbabwe. The study finds that inflation has a significant and persistent negative effect on stock market returns, with a one standard deviation shock in inflation leading to a significant decline in stock market returns. Moreover, the study identifies that monetary policy shocks, such as changes in interest rates, have a significant impact on stock market returns, but the effect is less pronounced compared to inflation in Zimbabwe. Furthermore, the study examines the transmission channels through which monetary policy shocks affect the stock market in Zimbabwe. The results suggest that changes in interest rates affect the stock market mainly through their impact on inflation expectations and exchange rates. This highlights the importance of considering both monetary and macroeconomic factors when analyzing the impact of monetary policy on the stock market in Zimbabwe. The study concludes that high inflation rates and frequent monetary policy interventions have a detrimental effect on stock market performance in Zimbabwe. The findings of this research are relevant to investors, policymakers, and analysts who are interested in understanding the relationship between inflation, monetary policy, and stock market performance in Zimbabwe. The study also analyzed the impact of GDP and exchange rate as control variables on stock market performance. The results suggested that changes in exchange rates have a negative impact on stock market returns GDP have a negative impact. The joint impact of inflation and monetary policy shocks was also found to be significant, indicating that both variables affect stock returns.

Sustainability, environmental protection and climate change are no longer niche topics. Environmental awareness is changing from individual lifestyle to social movement. Sustainability from consumer trend to economic factor. Environment is becoming a mainstream topic, a new criterion for good and bad, right and wrong. It is becoming the lowest common denominator for an entire generation. Everyone is affected, everyone must take a stand . In addition to these, the aspect of health is as well one of the most important Megatrends of our society today. The personal responsibility and health competence of the individual has increased - at the same time is health once again becoming more the responsibility of economy and politics. Because healthy or unhealthy environmental influences, food, or expenditures for medical facilities and education campaigns are not only subject to individual. In order to harmonize environment, society, economy and health, people have to change their way of consumption and the economy their way of production. A good foundation for this is provided by Nutrition Ecology, an interdisciplinary scientific discipline that attempts to balance all four dimensions.The first part of the work presents the vegetarian diet, its history and the different forms and motivations. In addition current numbers and characteristics of vegetarians living in Germany are presented in the last part of Chapter 2. In Chapter 3 a comprehensive description of the current meat consumption and production in Germany and knowledge about the meat replacement market is presented. The environmental impact of the meat industry is discussed in detail in Chapter 4. And finally, in Chapter 5 a model is presented, Nutrition Ecology. Using the four dimensions, the impacts on economy and environment of a transformation towards vegetarian diets are shown.

Durch eine gründliche theoretische Auseinandersetzung mit den grundlegenden Konzepten der Pandemie, des SARS-CoV-2-Virus und der staatlichen Maßnahmen wird ein fundiertes Verständnis für den Kontext geschaffen. Darüber hinaus werden die spezifischen Auswirkungen auf das Arbeitsleben beleuchtet, wobei sowohl die positiven Aspekte als auch die damit verbundenen Schwierigkeiten analysiert werden.Die Problemstellung dieser Arbeit liegt in der Bewertung der Erfolgsaussichten des Homeoffice sowohl während als auch nach der COVID-19 Pandemie.
