'Participation of Beneficiaries in the Participation Planning Process': The inclusive design of societal processes is a central goal of the UN CRPD, but its implementation is often challenging, as shown by the decisions regarding the exclusion from voting rights. With the Federal Participation Act, an attempt was made to make rehabilitation law more inclusive. This study aims to establish the concept of participation in rehabilitation and participation law and to outline its legal framework. It shows that participation is possible, but only if individuals are empowered and effective legal protection mechanisms are in place.
