Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2022 in the subject Business economics - Company formation, Business Plans, grade: 1,8, University of Cooperative Education Eisenach, course: Business English, language: English, abstract: 95% of all start-ups become self-employed in traditional companies and conventional business areas. Accordingly, 5% of all start-ups are based on innovative business ideas in less exploited business fields. However, the number of newly founded companies that pursue an innovative business idea is steadily increasing. These young companies are referred to as start-ups. A founder who sets up his own business with a new product or an innovative service will in all likelihood have a certain competitive advantage over potential, but also over existing and competing business enterprises on the market. The prerequisite for this competitive advantage is, of course, that the product or service offered is mature and free of defects. In addition, the product or service must have a unique selling proposition. However, it is also true for innovative start-ups that the product or service must be tailored to the needs of the market.

Ways into a business
Basic informations

The following three options are available for becoming self-employed:
-A start up as a new foundation of a business; 
-A company succession as a great challenge for entrepreneurs; 
-A Start up as a Franchising partner like “MC Donald’s, Burger King, Subway, Die Rollenden Friseure”.

New foundation 
Start-ups are particularly popular among entrepreneurs because they can design and align the company according to their ideas from the beginning and start new business models without ballast. In addition, there may not be a suitable company on the market with which the business idea (innovation) can be efficiently realised or the founder may not have the financial means to acquire one. 
In turn, the founder must master the entire start-up process with all its challenges independently. The business idea, the founder's know-how and an elaborated business plan with estimates and forecasts of turnover, costs, capital requirements are very important prerequisites for success and for support/subsidies also from financial support from banks with regard to a successful business start-up. In order to cope with the above-mentioned tasks, it is often expedient not to start alone, but with one or more partners. Partners who complement each other's complement each other's skills. This is especially true in the case of distributed technical and commercial knowledge and talents.

A handheld portable printer for those who frequently need a printer, such as teachers, professors, students or pupils. It should be small and portable so that everyone can take it with them and use it anywhere. We will also talk about the development of the printer, the launch and the organization and how these points can be achieved most effectively. The planning and preparations are worked out and the development of the product is elaborated. Finally, the possible blockages that could prevent the product from being released are identified in order to counteract them and to work out and correct possible errors in advance.

Fachbuch aus dem Jahr 2023 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensgründung, Start-ups, Businesspläne, Note: 1,3, Universität Augsburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das vorliegende Forschungsprojekt zielt darauf ab, die strategischen Herausforderungen in internen und externen Kommunikationsstrukturen von Start-ups zu identifizieren. Dabei wird insbesondere untersucht, wie in existierenden Start-ups kommuniziert wird bzw. werden sollte und auf welche Weise die Kommunikation in Zusammenhang mit der Kultur sowie der Führung eines Unternehmens steht. Im Rahmen dessen wird ein besonderer Fokus auf die sogenannte Dialogorientierung und ihren Einfluss auf die Unternehmenskommunikation gelegt. Aufgrund der in Start-ups meist vorherrschenden „Owner Centricity“ (Wiesenberg et al., 2020, S. 53) nehmen die CEOs beziehungsweise die Gründer:innen der Unternehmen eine essenzielle Rolle hinsichtlich der Entwicklung Ihres Unternehmens ein. Sie prägen die Kultur sowie die Kommunikation zwischen den Mitarbeitenden, Stakeholdern &amp; Co (Wiesenberg et al., 2020, S. 53). Dementsprechend liegt es nahe, direkt mit diesen Personen in Kontakt zu treten. Dies geschieht vorliegend durch eine qualitative Befragung von zwölf CEOs deutscher Start-ups anhand eines teilstandardisierten Interviewleitfadens. Zu Beginn werden die relevanten theoretischen Konstrukte näher erläutert. Start-ups und ihre Herausforderungen werden dargestellt und die Kommunikation innerhalb von Start-ups wird näher betrachtet. Zudem werden die Termini Unternehmenskultur und -führung sowie dialogorientierte Unternehmenskommunikation behandelt. Daraufhin wird die Methode, ergo das Sampling, das Untersuchungsinstrument und die Instrumentalisierung, vorgestellt. Abschließend stellt ein zusammenfassendes Fazit die erwarteten Ergebnisse sowie Limitationen der Untersuchung dar und bietet eine Basis für zukünftige Forschung.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2024 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensgründung, Start-ups, Businesspläne, Note: 1,3, Hochschule Fresenius Idstein, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: „Qualität“ und „Qualitätsmanagement“ (QM) unterliegen einem stetigen Wandel, geprägt durch gesetzliche, wirtschaftliche und gesellschaftliche Veränderungen. Entwicklungen wie die Marktliberalisierung, Globalisierung, Digitalisierung und steigende Kundenerwartungen an Zuverlässigkeit, Handhabung, Service, Umweltfreundlichkeit und Energieeffizienz erhöhen den Druck auf Unternehmen. Vor diesem Hintergrund gewinnt QM zur Sicherung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und zur Erfüllung dieser steigenden Anforderungen eine zentrale Bedeutung. 

Auch für Startups, einem wichtigen Baustein der Unternehmerlandschaft, ist QM relevant. Im Gegensatz zu etablierten Unternehmen zeichnen sie sich Startups durch fehlende Strukturen, geringe Formalisierung sowie hohe Flexibilität und Dynamik aus. Diese Eigenschaften erschweren den Einsatz von Qualitätsmanagement bei ihnen. 

Obwohl QM zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnt, fehlt es an Forschung, die sich mit der Anpassung von QM an die spezifischen Anforderungen von Startups befasst. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es daher, konkrete Vorschläge zur Anpassung des QM für Startups zu entwickeln. Die Forschungsfrage lautet: Wie ist das Qualitätsmanagement für den Einsatz in Startups anzupassen?
