This is the first book to examine the growth and phenomenon of a securitized and criminalized compliance society which relies increasingly on intelligence-led and predictive technologies to control future risks, crimes, and security threats. It&amp;nbsp;articulates the emergence of a ‘compliance-industrial complex’ that synthesizes regulatory capitalism and surveillance capitalism to impose new regimes of power and control, as well as new forms of subjectivity subservient to the ‘operating system’ of a pre-crime society. Looking at compliance beyond&amp;nbsp;frameworks of business management, corporate governance, law, and accounting, it looks as it as a social phenomenon, instrumental in the pluralization and privatization of policing, where the private intelligence, private security, and big tech companies are being concentrated at the very core of compliance, and hence, governance of the social. Einsendeaufgabe aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich BWL - Controlling, Note: 1,3, SRH Fernhochschule (Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Taxation), Veranstaltung: Corporate Governance, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die erste Aufgabe dieser Einsendeaufgabe befasst sich mit der Erörterung und der Zielsetzung des Begriffs "Corporate Social Responsibility" sowie die damit einhergehende Berichtserstattung von Unternehmen. Der Begriff Corporate Social Responsibility wird häufig durch CSR abgekürzt. Dieser stellt das Handeln von Unternehmen dar und die damit verbundenen Auswirkungen auf die Gesellschaft. Erstmalig wurde CSR von Howard R. Bowen im Jahr 1953 verwendet. Im Folgenden wird der Begriff der Nachhaltigkeit beleuchtet. Der Begriff Nachhaltigkeit wurde im 19. Jahrhundert erstmalig in Deutschland verwendet. Dieser wurde anfangs mit der Dauerhaftigkeit und der Erhaltung von Vorräten in Verbindung gebracht. Meistens bezog sich der Begriff zu Beginn auf die landwirtschaftlichen und forstwirtschaftlichen Aspekte.Zuletzt befasst sich die Arbeit mit interner und externen Unternehmenskommunikation. Die interne und externe Kommunikation dienen als wichtiger Indikator in Unternehmen. Hierbei spielt es keine Rolle, um welches Unternehmen in welcher Art, Größe oder welchen Bereich es sich handelt. In allen Unternehmen ist eine erfolgreiche und transparente Kommunikation erforderlich. Alle Personen, die eine Verbindung zu dem Unternehmen haben, kommunizieren täglich.

The Accountant's Role in Corporate Governance. Global, Unified. Transparency and Disclosure Criteria for Financial Reporting

Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich BWL - Wirtschaftspolitik, Note: 2,5, Hochschule Bremen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Gegenstand der Arbeit ist die Intransparenz in den Prozessen und Verträgen der Öffentlich-Privaten-Partnerschaft der Berliner Wasserbetriebe. Mithilfe einer Literaturrecherche wird unter Einbeziehung des (Good) Governance-Konzeptes und einer Einbettung in die Liberalisierung der Trinkwasserdebatte analysiert, wie wichtig Transparenz in einem ÖPP Prozess für die politische Legitimation selbiger ist und wie diese im Vorfeld von öffentlicher Seite aus verbessert werden kann.Die Arbeitshypothese besagt, dass eine erhöhte Transparenz bei Prozessen und Verträgen einer ÖPP in der Trinkwasserversorgung zu erhöhter politischer Legitimation der ÖPP führt. Da die Thematik gleichzeitig in eine Diskussion um eine Verwaltungsreform eingebettet ist, wird diese ebenfalls aufgegriffen.Governance beschreibt letztlich eine neuartige Form des Steuerns von Staatsseite aus. Diese neuartige Steuerungsform kann aus gewisser Perspektive als verwaltungspolitisches Reformkonzept betrachtet werden. Damit hat es das „New-Public-Management“ abgelöst, welches eine Managementperspektive hatte. Governance als Reformkonzept wird in der Arbeit aufgegriffen und mit den allgemeinen Liberalisierungstrends in der Wasserversorgung sowie dem Fallbeispiel verbunden. Daraufhin erfolgt ein Fazit, welches herausstellt, dass es um das richtige Maß an Transparenz geht und sich bei ÖPP Projekten ein generelles Informationsinteresse der Allgemeinheit und Betriebsgeheimnisse der beteiligten AkteurInnen gegenüberstehen. ParlamentarierInnen haben dann die Aufgabe, in solchen Fällen zu moderieren und abzuwägen, welches Maß an Transparenz für den jeweils vorliegenden Fall das passendste wäre.

&lt;p&gt;When a person is not recognised as a citizen anywhere, they are typically referred to as ‘stateless’. This can give rise to challenges both for individuals and for the institutions that try to govern them. &lt;i&gt;Statelessness, governance, and the problem of citizenship&lt;/i&gt; breaks from tradition by relocating the ‘problem’ to be addressed from one of statelessness to one of citizenship. It problematises the governance of citizenship – and the use of citizenship as a governance tool – and traces the ‘problem of citizenship’ from global and regional governance mechanisms to national and even individual levels.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;With contributions from activists, affected persons, artists, lawyers, academics, and national and international policy experts, this volume rejects the idea that statelessness and stateless persons are a problem. It argues that the reality of statelessness helps to uncover a more fundamental challenge: the problem of citizenship.&lt;/p&gt;

Das Gesetz zur Gewährleistung einer globalen Mindestbesteuerung für Unternehmensgruppen (MinStG) gilt erstmals für Geschäftsjahre, die nach dem 30.12.2023 beginnen. Im Fokus stehen multinationale Unternehmen (MNE) mit einem Jahresumsatz von 750 Mio. EUR. Vom Anwendungsbereich der MinBestRL erfasst werden darüber hinaus aber auch große inländische Unternehmensgruppen (Large-Scale Domestic Groups). Die Mindeststeuer soll als Nachversteuerungsregel eine eigenständige Ertragsteuer sein, die unabhängig von der Rechtsform Unternehmensgewinne von (internationalen) Unternehmensgruppen ab einer bestimmten Größenordnung erfasst.

Das Thema hat in den letzten Jahren enorm an Bedeutung gewonnen und stellt Unternehmen vor großen Herausforderungen. Wird der Aspekt Compliance nicht berücksichtigt, riskieren Unternehmen nicht nur ihre verschärfte Haftung, sondern auch ihre Wettbewerbsfähigkeit.Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, diese Herausforderungen und Besonderheiten der Compliance in internationalen Unternehmen aufzuzeigen und näher zu erläutern. Dazu werden vorhandene Literaturquellen herangezogen. Eine solche Literaturrecherche stellt einen der ersten Schritte im Prozess der Anfertigung einer wissenschaftlichen Arbeit dar.
