Instead, housing commons are self-managed by residents. This book analyzes and compares legal approaches for organizing housing commons: Cooperatives, the German ¿Mietshäusersyndikat¿ and community land trusts. Based on this analysis, the author proposes new laws for creating steward-owned housing cooperatives.
