Whistleblowing zwischen Hinweisgeberschutz und Geschäftsgeheimnisschutz

'Whistleblowing at the Intersection of Whistleblower Protection and Trade Secret Protection': Whistleblowers face tension between criminal protection of trade secrets and protecting themselves against criminal liability. European and national reforms have reshaped this tension. This thesis examines whistleblowers' liability under Sec. 23 of the German Trade Secrets Act (GeschGehG), analyses other relevant protections under the German Trade Secrets Act and the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG), and evaluates whistleblower protection in comparison to the previous legal situation.
