»Possibilities and Limits of the Control of Police Violence by a Federal Police Commissioner«: In the study, draft laws for a police commissioner as an auxiliary body of parliament are taken up and evaluated on the basis of evaluation standards. Measured against these evaluation standards, the police commissioner in the draft laws proves to be deficient. On the other hand, a police commissioner who is established in the administration can be convincing. In this paper, the authors draft their own proposal for such a commissioner and evaluate it against the evaluation standards.
