Als Grundlage werden die zugehörigen Begrifflichkeiten der Corporate Social Responsibility und der Nature Responsibility mit Berücksichtigung der jeweiligen Bedeutung für ein Unternehmen erläutert. Im weiteren Verlauf werden drei deutsche Unternehmen ausgewählt, die in unterschiedlichen Branchen auf internationalen Märkten tätig beziehungsweise von internationalen Produkt- beziehungsweise Lieferketten zur Herstellung derer Kernprodukte abhängig sind. Nach kurzer Vorstellung der drei Unternehmen folgt eine detaillierte Analyse, wie sich die soziale und ökologische Verantwortung der Unternehmen gegenüber der Gesellschaft und der Natur gestaltet. Dies soll anhand von praktischen Beispielen belegt werden. Die Ergebnisse werden in den aktuellen Forschungstand eingeordnet und kritisch diskutiert. Die soziale Verantwortung von Unternehmen gegenüber der Gesellschaft sowie ein verantwortungsvoller Umgang mit natürlichen Ressourcen gewinnt immer mehr an Bedeutung. Die detaillierte Beschreibung der sozialen und ökologischen Verantwortung von Unternehmen gegenüber der Gesellschaft und der Natur, am Beispiel von drei deutschen Unternehmen aus unterschiedlichen Branchen, die international tätig sind, stellt die Herausforderung dieser Hausarbeit dar.
