Criptomonedas: realidades y expectativas

Margaret Thatcher’s mantra ‘there is no alternative’ was not a statement of historical fact but a strategic objective. She shared with Hayek, Pinochet, Mises, Trump, Bolsonaro, and Macron a commitment to utilizing ideology, constitutional economics, labour discipline, and culture wars, as well as police and military force, to prevent popular resistance from organizing. Whatever their doctrinal differences, they all see the state’s tight control of democracy as the most effective means of defeating egalitarian alternatives. Neoliberalism persists today thanks to its ability to defeat opponents while deepening social and cultural regression.

If you're woke, you're left. If you're left, you're woke. We blur the terms, assuming that if you're one you must be the other. That, Susan Neiman argues, is a dangerous mistake. The confusion arises because woke is fuelled by traditionally leftwing emotions: the wish to stand with the oppressed and marginalized, to address historic crimes. But those emotions are undermined by widespread philosophical assumptions with reactionary sources. As a result, wokeism conflicts with ideas that have guided the left for more than 200 years: a commitment to universalism, a firm distinction between justice and power, and a belief in the possibility of progress. Without these ideas, the woke will continue to undermine their own goals and drift, inexorably and unintentionally, towards the right. Left Is Not Woke

This book offers philosophical and psychoanalytical reflections on the selfhood shaped in autobiographical graphic narratives, or autographics. These reflections revolve around the ‘autographic gesture’. This gesture refers to, firstly, the leaving of graphic traces of an embodied self, which, secondly, transform into a drawn figure that represents this self and acquires a certain autonomy as a character, and which, thirdly, are embedded in a narrative that tells all or part of this self’s life story. By combining the semiotic logics of trace, image, and narrative, the book argues, autographics perform this gesture and shape a specific form of selfhood. 
The book studies this process by turning to theories about selfhood constructed primarily within the following three intellectual traditions: existential hermeneutics, as developed by Paul Ricoeur; existential phenomenology, as embodied by Jean-Paul Sartre; and psychoanalysis, through the lenses of Jacques Lacan, Marion Milner, and Donald Winnicott. The ideas of these authors, as well as Paul de Man’s and Johann Gottlieb Fichte’s analyses of subject-constitution, are brought into dialogue with autobiographical graphic narratives by Zoe Thorogood, Katie Green, Peter Pontiac, Alison Bechdel, Yoshihiro Tatsumi, Marjane Satrapi, Riad Sattouf, Keiji Nakazawa, Lynda Barry, and others.
