What factors in marketing communications enable improves sales and revenue in an organization?The paper describes the background to the study, the problem statement and the research objectives, questions and hypothesis. It also gives an overview about literature, methology, data collection and analysis, and the planned structure of the final study. It ends with a cost estimate for the research.

After an introduction to international market research and the Walt Disney Company, secondary market data of Disneyland California and Paris will be compared. From the data a conclusion will be drawn, if a global company like the Walt Disney Company can operate with only one market concept or if international market research and a small adaptation of the concept to the foreign market has any significant benefits in terms of market success.Nowadays, the Walt Disney Company is known all over the world. It has set up different businesses in over 40 countries, including six Disneyland resorts. When Walter Elias Disney created the plan for the first Disneyland , the Disneyland Resort in California, he had a vision of a constantly growing and changing amusement park full of imagination.After Walter Elias' death and the financial success of the first Disneyland in California, the Walt Disney Company tried to continue to fulfill his vision. They created new Disneyland’s in Florida, Tokyo, France, Hongkong and Shanghai. All of the amusement parks generated huge profits for the Walt Disney Company except Disneyland Paris, which makes losses of nearly €2 billion. As the Disneyland concept worked in California, Florida and Tokyo, the Walt Disney Company did not consider it as necessary to do profound market research before opening Disneyland Paris.

More than eight percent of the world's population now eat a plant-based diet. Around 70 percent of the world's population is reducing its meat consumption, so the market for plant-based foods is growing every year. By 2027, this market is expected to grow to more than 35 billion US dollars.The following essay looks at a market research analysis of the German meat substitute market from the perspective of “Impossible Foods”, a US company. “Impossible Foods” focuses on plant-based meat substitute products, but is not currently active in the European market.  The market research observes the German market for two key reasons. Firstly, more than ten percent of the population live a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. Secondly, meat consumption is with 60 kilograms of meat per capita also on a significant high level. These two facts are very interesting for companies in this market, as these different eating styles combine itself within their target group. This market research project includes secondary and primary market research methods, in order to analyse the German market for the company and to make recommend strategic actions based on the potential and the target group in the very end.

Market Research Project for the German Meat Subtitute Market from the Perspective of the US-Company "Impossible Foods"

Master's Thesis from the year 2018 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 82,0, Sheffield Hallam University, language: English, abstract: The centrepiece of this dissertation consists of the answer to the question of how SMEs from the Mexican software industry take advantage of both local and external sources for knowledge exchange in order to promote the own innovation activities. The corresponding insights counteract some inconsistencies regarding the mainstream research on open innovation activities, which were spotted during the literature review and specifically refer to the niche existence of SMEs and knowledge-driven clusters from emerging economies of Latin America and a major lack of a holistic perspective on the local situation and context.In structural terms, it is worth mentioning that the golden thread of this dissertation follows a specific structure, starting with a literature review as the basis for the research question and the propositions. Then, the track of thoughts is continued with the explanation of a justified methodological idea, the documentation of the results, the analysis of the collected data and the discussion of the analysis’ contribution to the current state of knowledge. The lessons learned from this case study and suggestions for future research form the closing element of this document.For a thorough coverage of this research gap, the author deployed a methodological construct consisting of a multiple case study strategy, mixed with an interpretivist philosophy and a predominantly inductive approach. Additionally, he resorted to a qualitative mono method featuring semi-structured interviews with open questions, realized within a cross-sectional time horizon between the middle of February and the middle of March. The target group comprised the CEOs of three software SMEs from the clusters of Mexico City and Monterrey, who voluntarily participated in said interviews after having agree to the sent e-mail requests.Although the results underwent a triangulation and the conclusions may sound plausible, they still require an extensive reconfirmation in the given context, what might be attained via a series of additional inductive and qualitative multiple case studies covering more SMEs from several Mexican software clusters. A transition towards more deductive, longitudinal and quantitative studies would be only sensible if the previously mentioned kind of studies led to a basis reflecting the situation of these SMEs unambiguously.

Open Innovation Strategies Applied by SMEs from Mexican Software Clusters. A Multiple Case Study Analysis

Master's Thesis from the year 2023 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 1,1, Bocconi University (LEADERSHIP, HUMAN RESOURCES AND DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES), language: English, abstract: The Master's thesis entitled "Factors of Change in Italian SMEs - An Empirical Investigation" examines the critical factors influencing the success of Change Management initiatives in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Italy. Using a mixed-methods approach, this Research Thesis aims to address the urgent need for effective Change Management strategies to ensure Italian SMEs' sustainability and competitiveness. Five firms representing a cross-section of the diverse Italian SME landscape were selected and studied using a quantitative survey and qualitative interviews. The Research Thesis begins with an overview of the Italian economic situation, specifically the situation of SMEs, then a comprehensive literature review, and a detailed methodological section describing the mixed-methods research design. Through a cluster analysis that synthesizes findings from surveys and interviews the Research Thesis finds that Change Management practices in SMEs have been particularly important in light of recent crises. Leaders and employees quote communication and a culture of adaptability as the main factors for managing change successfully. Including employees' expertise and opinions improves company culture and outcomes, allowing for long-term success and implementation of change initiatives. Practical insights highlight factors to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of change management initiatives in Italian SMEs.In summary, the five factors - effective communication, employee involvement and commitment, strong leadership and strategic direction, appropriate resource allocation and training, and a culture of innovation and adaptability - are a robust framework for understanding the determinants of successful Change Management strategies in Italian SMEs.
