Master's Thesis from the year 2018 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 82,0, Sheffield Hallam University, language: English, abstract: The centrepiece of this dissertation consists of the answer to the question of how SMEs from the Mexican software industry take advantage of both local and external sources for knowledge exchange in order to promote the own innovation activities. The corresponding insights counteract some inconsistencies regarding the mainstream research on open innovation activities, which were spotted during the literature review and specifically refer to the niche existence of SMEs and knowledge-driven clusters from emerging economies of Latin America and a major lack of a holistic perspective on the local situation and context.In structural terms, it is worth mentioning that the golden thread of this dissertation follows a specific structure, starting with a literature review as the basis for the research question and the propositions. Then, the track of thoughts is continued with the explanation of a justified methodological idea, the documentation of the results, the analysis of the collected data and the discussion of the analysis’ contribution to the current state of knowledge. The lessons learned from this case study and suggestions for future research form the closing element of this document.For a thorough coverage of this research gap, the author deployed a methodological construct consisting of a multiple case study strategy, mixed with an interpretivist philosophy and a predominantly inductive approach. Additionally, he resorted to a qualitative mono method featuring semi-structured interviews with open questions, realized within a cross-sectional time horizon between the middle of February and the middle of March. The target group comprised the CEOs of three software SMEs from the clusters of Mexico City and Monterrey, who voluntarily participated in said interviews after having agree to the sent e-mail requests.Although the results underwent a triangulation and the conclusions may sound plausible, they still require an extensive reconfirmation in the given context, what might be attained via a series of additional inductive and qualitative multiple case studies covering more SMEs from several Mexican software clusters. A transition towards more deductive, longitudinal and quantitative studies would be only sensible if the previously mentioned kind of studies led to a basis reflecting the situation of these SMEs unambiguously.

It also examines the extent to which inadequate selections and recruitments and the employees' motivation affects employees’ service delivery in the civil service commission.The researcher limits this work to the ways of achieving effective service delivery through manpower planning and human capital development in Anambra state civil service covering the period from 2015 to 2020.

Effective Service Delivery through Manpower Planning and Human Capital Development in Anambra State Civil Service. A Research from 2015 to 2020

This book explores the gender diversity of faculties at senior management level in public Nigerian universities. Data were collected through individual interviews and a focus group. The sample consisted of twenty male and female faculty at senior-management level in Nigerian public universities drawn from the four geographic regions of Nigeria, namely, North Central, South East, South South, and South West. Results revealed the existence of pronounced gender inequality and evidence of several factor constraints that contribute to the disproportionate representation of female and male faculty at the senior-management level in public Nigerian universities. These factors were highlighted in open, axial, and selective coding.

An Investigation of Female Expectations in Nigeria

La presente obra busca plantear una filosofía del sistema penal, la cual descansa en el principio de imputación y a lo que hemos denominado la pragmática de la imputación penal. En esa inteligencia, y recurriendo a la legislación comparada, hemos explicado que la litis se fija cuando se formula imputación o se formaliza la investigación y no al cierre de la investigación cuando se plantea la acusación; ello por mandato legal y por la siguiente lógica del sistema: la afectación de la libertad personal mediante medidas cautelares o el dictado de decisiones jurisdiccionales de terminación o conclusión anticipada del proceso, exigen de una imputación formulada, a la que incluso la futura acusación, juicio y sentencia están vinculados, a saber, al cuadro fáctico imputado; ello, lo hemos explicado en el capítulo primero a través delo que hemos denominado modelo imputativo.&#13;&#13;Ahora bien, lo que se imputa es un cuadro fáctico y su perfeccionamiento no lo otorga la actual sobrevaloración de los testimonios, sino el recurso a las ciencias forenses (artículo 228° de la norma adjetiva mexicana, artículo 276° de la ley procesal panameña o el artículo 321.2° del Código procesal penal peruano, como ejemplos que la lectura forense, criminalístico y científico de los hechos es la exigencia legal y no una psicología del testimonio); a ello, nos dedicamos en los capítulos segundo y tercero, que por su importancia radica el centro de nuestro estudio. No obstante, el mencionado perfeccionamiento de los hechos nos debe conducir a la afirmación que una persona ha infringido un deber jurídico penal que actualiza tanto la afectación de un bien jurídico legalmente protegido así como un tipo penal; ello nos permite revisar las reglas de imputación objetiva y subjetiva, así como demás categorías de la teoría del delito, pero alejándonos de constructos como la semántica del Derecho penal, la cual no presenta una equivalente potencia con las ciencias forenses; y a ello nos hemos centrado en el capítulo cuarto. Sin embargo, el principio de imputación conlleva a analizar sus consecuencias, como la sanción, la reparación civil y las consecuencias accesorias de las personas jurídicas, conforme lo desarrollado en el capítulo quinto. &#13;&#13;Finalmente, la imputación requiere de control judicial en audiencia, en razón a los efectos que en los derechos humanos del procesado va a generar, y a ello nos dedicamos en los capítulos sexto y sétimo, con especial referencia a la audiencia inicial regulada en codificaciones como la mexicana; en suma, la imputación es el puente que permite el diálogo entre el Derecho penal y el procesal penal, y a los que nos conducirá a una pragmática (no en su sentido semántico), sino forense, de la imputación.

Academic Paper from the year 2020 in the subject Leadership and Human Resources - Management Styles, grade: A, University of Nairobi, course: Business Management, language: English, abstract: For decades, research has been described as the most expansively used tool in the increment and brush-up of the stock of knowledge regarding someone and/or something. Nonetheless, there are two key conventional approaches of conducting research within the fields of marketing, psychology, business, economics, sociology, science &amp; technology, and so on: qualitative research and quantitative research. Despite the myriad definitions and the complexity associated with the two, the core distinctions between quantitative and qualitative research, plus the form of information garnered by the two, has been clearly described, even though there are substantial differences between the ways each research methodology acquires data. While qualitative research depends on verbal narratives such as spoken or written material to form conclusions, quantitative research relies on logical or statistical findings. Only a few non-representative cases are chosen as a sample in qualitative research to build an initial insight. Quantitative research, on the other hand, considers a significant number of representative cases before recommending a definitive course of action. Regardless, there remains a never-ending debate regarding which research method is more effective or better than the other; hence, this paper is going to present a novel insight on the distinction between quantitative and qualitative research, specifically utilizing examples and content from EDD program. In essence, despite the varied overlaps within the objectives of quantitative and qualitative research in the field of education, researchers ought to acknowledge the core functions of the two methods to design and carry out an impactful research study. Further, researchers need to understand the key distinctions setting quantitative and qualitative research apart to determine the methodology better suited to definite education research topics.
