Seminar paper from the year 2024 in the subject Business economics - Company formation, Business Plans, grade: A, University of Edinburgh, course: Stratetic Planning, language: English, abstract: The aim of this paper is to present a business plan for "Ken and Keith Video Games Centre". The business will introduce Ad finger VR, a VR console product that makes ALS patient and elderly who can't move their body can enjoy playing games by just move the fingers and wrists when playing game. The new equipment that the new business will introduce also consist of two major things, namely VR glasses and something that must be worn to connect the players' fingers and wrists, such as the VR gloves. This business is likely to succeed in the new market because the product that it intends to offer is of high quality and promotes clients' safety. Because of the extensive growth in VR content market brought about by the progress and extensive circulation of computer hardware technology as well as virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) devices. To full establish its operations, the owners of this new business will use the profits they acquired from the past businesses and even acquire bank loans.  The international virtual reality content creation market is expected to increase to $227.9 billion in 2030, portraying a 2020-2030 CAGR of 70.5%. This means that the new business will be successful as it will benefit from the profits.

Marketing and Communication Strategies of Sustainable Startups

Für den individuellen Menschen kann die Gründung eines Unternehmens eine persönliche oder berufliche Selbstverwirklichung bedeuten, sie kann aber auch vor Arbeitslosigkeit schützen.

Aus wirtschaftlicher Sicht sind Unternehmensneugründungen, bzw. sogenannte „Start-ups“, ein wichtiger Faktor für die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung. Häufig gehen aus diesen Unternehmen innovative Entwicklungen und neue Arbeitsplätze hervor. Die Gründung eines Start-ups bringt sowohl Chancen als auch Risiken mit sich, die es zu minimieren, bzw. zu nutzen gilt. Grundsätzlich wird das Überleben eines Unternehmens durch den Gründer mitbestimmt.
 
Deshalb wird in dieser Seminararbeit die persönliche, fachliche und methodische Eignung zu einem Start-Up-Unternehmer kritisch hinterfragt und ein Vorschlag zum Vorgehen bei einer Unternehmensneugründung vorgestellt. Der Fokus dieser Arbeit wird auf den Chancen und Risiken einer Existenzgründung liegen und aufzeigen, welche Voraussetzungen, Eigenschaften und Rahmenbedingungen bei der Gründung eines Start-ups berücksichtigt werden sollten und welche Phasen sinnvollerweise bei einer Existenzgründung nacheinander durchlaufen werden. Eine Existenzgründung kann dann erfolgreich sein, wenn diese vorab sorgfältig geplant wurde. Die Planung definiert sich hier als gedankliches Klarmachen künftiger Ereignisse im Vorfeld. Diese Hausarbeit soll als Hilfestellung zur erfolgreichen Gründung eines Startups dienen. Der finanzielle, rechtliche und innovative Aspekt einer Unternehmensgründung findet in dieser Arbeit nur eine geringe Anwendung. In diesen Bereichen ist eine tiefere Betrachtung und eine Individualbeurteilung erforderlich.

Dabei werden neben bewährten Ansätzen auch neuartige Technologien wie E-Pricing und die Integration von Kryptowährungen eingehend diskutiert.Im Zentrum der Untersuchung steht eine umfassende Analyse von Geschäftskonzepten, beginnend von der Geschäftsidee über die Ausgestaltung der Geschäftsstruktur bis hin zum Ertragsmodell. Die Entstehung des Geschäftsmodells wird detailliert beleuchtet, wobei Aspekte wie Konzeptidee, Erfolgsfaktoren, Marktanalyse und Zielmärkte eingehend betrachtet werden. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit gilt digitalen Erlösmodellen wie E-Procurement, E-Pricing und E-Payment sowie den damit verbundenen wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Auswirkungen.Darüber hinaus erfolgt eine eingehende Untersuchung innovativer Zusatzoptionen, darunter Kryptowährungen, Near-Field-Communication, Social Targeting, Crowdshaping und Gamification. To show a highly accurate depiction of the origins of entrepreneurial fraud, this thesis will conduct a quantitative case study. The utilization of the case study approach is particularly advantageous when there is a requirement to gain a profound understanding of a specific issue, event, or phenomenon within its authentic real-life context.In recent years, startups emerged as a driving force behind job creation and innovation. The startup sector in Germany employed over 415,000 individuals in 2020, with numbers expected to grow even further. North America dominates the global unicorn landscape, accounting for 51% of the total, while Asia follows closely behind with 34%. Europe, on the other hand, only represents 12% of the world’s unicorns. As of 2022, 25 of these unicorns – startups with a valuation of more than $1 billion – are based in Germany. Many of these fledgling businesses are characterized by a high innovative potential as well as the risk of failure.

What are the reasons behind this trend?  What opportunities and challenges exist for entrepreneurs? The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of these two distinct but equally significant business locations.   Unemployment, the desire for independence, self-determination, to advance an innovation or the ambition to build up your own business – these are the main motivations for prospective entrepreneurs, and they are indeed becoming increasingly important nowadays. In various parts of the world, a growing number of people are seeking a reorientation and questioning their career prospects. In 2023, the worldwide count of entrepreneurs reached 582 million, and the numbers continue to rise. While entrepreneurship is rapidly expanding globally, numerous business owners tend to show a stronger preference for specific countries. Robust infrastructures stand out as a primary factor influencing entrepreneurs to favor one region over another. Especially one country has emerged as an attractive location for starting a business in recent years: Dubai, a city that has transformed from a small marketplace to a global business area over the previous decades. Dubai is developing faster than almost any other country and the population is growing exponentially. Of the 3.5 million inhabitants, 85% are foreigners. In past times, there also has been a noticeable increase in the number of entrepreneurs and influencers choosing to expatriate to the Persian Gulf emirate. Principally, tax benefits, strong economic growth, security, quality of life, and social cohesion attract people from all over the world to move to the Middle East and establish their companies there. So not only is Dubai one of the top travel destinations globally, but it also attracts international entrepreneurs as a growing economic hub.

A handheld portable printer for those who frequently need a printer, such as teachers, professors, students or pupils. It should be small and portable so that everyone can take it with them and use it anywhere. We will also talk about the development of the printer, the launch and the organization and how these points can be achieved most effectively. The planning and preparations are worked out and the development of the product is elaborated. Finally, the possible blockages that could prevent the product from being released are identified in order to counteract them and to work out and correct possible errors in advance.

Entwicklungen wie die Marktliberalisierung, Globalisierung, Digitalisierung und steigende Kundenerwartungen an Zuverlässigkeit, Handhabung, Service, Umweltfreundlichkeit und Energieeffizienz erhöhen den Druck auf Unternehmen. Vor diesem Hintergrund gewinnt QM zur Sicherung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und zur Erfüllung dieser steigenden Anforderungen eine zentrale Bedeutung. 

Auch für Startups, einem wichtigen Baustein der Unternehmerlandschaft, ist QM relevant. Im Gegensatz zu etablierten Unternehmen zeichnen sie sich Startups durch fehlende Strukturen, geringe Formalisierung sowie hohe Flexibilität und Dynamik aus. Diese Eigenschaften erschweren den Einsatz von Qualitätsmanagement bei ihnen. 

Obwohl QM zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnt, fehlt es an Forschung, die sich mit der Anpassung von QM an die spezifischen Anforderungen von Startups befasst. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es daher, konkrete Vorschläge zur Anpassung des QM für Startups zu entwickeln. Die Forschungsfrage lautet: Wie ist das Qualitätsmanagement für den Einsatz in Startups anzupassen?
