Seminar paper from the year 2023 in the subject Business economics - Business Ethics, Corporate Ethics, grade: 1,7, Heilbronn University, language: English, abstract: The goal of this paper is to find out if and why greenwashing is a curse for society, what the difference to sustainability is, how companies like Nike are involved and how they are dealing with it. 

In the first chapter this seminar paper is dedicated to the basics and will answer the following questions: What does greenwashing and what does sustainability mean? What are the different forms and characteristics of greenwashing? Is greenwashing and sustainability the same thing and if not, what are the differences? 

So here follows the classification and explanation of the term’s sustainability and greenwashing as well as their distinction from each other. 
The second chapter deals exclusively with the Nike brand. Here the corporate philosophy is explained, and the sustainability strategy is shown. This is underpinned by practical examples. 
The third chapter deals with the consequences and effects of greenwashing. It explains what the sins of greenwashing are and whether and how it affects today's society. Again a few examples are listed to provide practical relevance and to make it clear that it affects the entire society. 
How to reduce and recognize greenwashing are the subjects of chapter four. Additional solutions are sought here to avoid greenwashing. 
After that there will come a summary and a conclusion of the whole seminar paper.

Ein großer Schwerpunkt wird jedoch vorab darauf liegen, die Komplexität von Crowdfunding und seinen verschiedenen Arten herauszustellen. Anschließend liegt die Absicht darin, einige Plattformen vorzustellen, ergänzt mit erfolgreichen Crowdfunding-Kampagnen. Mit einhergehend werden dabei verbundene Chancen und Risiken beleuchtet. Diese Arbeit soll nicht als Handlungsempfehlung für mögliche Finanzierungen gelten, der*die Leser:in soll eher ein Verständnis für Crowdfunding entwickeln. Praxisnahe Beispiele und fundierte Analysen machen dieses Werk zu einer wertvollen Informationsquelle für Unternehmer, Investoren und Interessierte. Ideal für alle, die Crowdfunding als Finanzierungsstrategie verstehen und gezielt nutzen möchten.

Crowdfunding hat sich zu einer Finanzierungsoption entwickelt, die sich ganz besonders für Start-ups, kreative Projekte und auch als soziale Hilfeleistung durchgesetzt hat. Kickstarter, Mintos, Wefunder, Indiegogo oder auch GoFundMe sind nur einige Plattformen, auf denen unterschiedliche Crowdfunding-Modelle Nutzen finden. Sie hat sich gegenüber traditionellen Finanzierungsquellen wie Banken etabliert und bietet neue Möglichkeiten zur Umsetzung von Geschäftsideen, Projekten und sozialem Engagement. Es ist nicht außer Acht zu lassen, dass jede Finanzierungsart Risiken trägt, davon kann sich Crowdfunding ebenfalls nicht freisprechen. 

Neuerungen im Finanzierungswesen werfen sowohl für Investierende, Unternehmer: innen als auch Unterstützer: innen einiges an Fragen auf. Crowdfunding kann für viele eine attraktive Möglichkeit bieten, Kapital zu beschaffen, Kapital mit hohen Renditen zu verleihen oder innovative Investitionen für die Zukunft zu tätigen, um Imageförderung zu betreiben oder sich exklusive Rabatte auf Produkte zu sichern, die sich noch in der Projektphase befinden. Es stellt sich somit die Frage, wovon und von welchen Faktoren ist der Erfolg einer erfolgreichen Crowdfunding-Kampagne abhängig, welche rechtlichen Aspekte sind zu beachten und wo liegen die Risiken. Zusätzlich stellt sich die Frage welches Modell des Crowdfundings ist für welches Vorhaben das richtige, ist es wirklich eine Alternative zu den traditionellen Finanzierungsmethoden und ist es langfristig tragbar.
