Das Museum der Zukunft

Published in 1970, "The Museum of the Future. 43 Contributions to the Discussion about the Future of the Museum" consists of ideas about the expected and desired development of this institution. Now, 50 years later, it is time for a revision: 43 new contributions by international authors from the museum industry in various fields - from theory, education, art, and architecture - outline concrete visions for a museum of the future: confident and doubtful, critical, clearly positioned, and subjective. The result is a polyphonic collection that takes up trends and themes of the current critical museum discourse and at the same time provides impulses for a courageous beyond.
