Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich VWL - Fallstudien, Länderstudien, , Veranstaltung: Economic History of Russia and Eurasia, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Warum ist Economics of shortage ein sowjetisches Phänomen? Diese Hausarbeit, im Rahmen des Seminars „Economic History of Russia and Eurasia“, befasst sich mit dem Thema Economics of shortage. Es geht um die sowjetische Planwirtschaft. Zeitlich gesehen befindet sich das Phänomen sozialistische Planwirtschaft in der Ära des Kalten Krieges, der zwischen den USA und der Sowjetunion ausgefochten wurde. Im Westen sind die USA der Leitstaat. Die Sowjetunion bildet im Ostblock den Leitstaat und dient als solcher bei dem Wirtschaftssystem der weiteren Staaten des sozialistischen Lagers. Der Fokus dieser Hausarbeit wird aber auf den negativen Eigenschaften der sowjetischen Planwirtschaft liegen. Diese Hausarbeit beinhaltet eine empirische Analyse auf der Basis von Texten. Die abhängige Variable der Hausarbeit ist somit Economics of shortage. Zu den unabhängigen Variablen zählen die Produktion der Konsumgüter und Güter der Schwerindustrie, sowie das GDP per head in der sozialistischen Planwirtschaft. Die Hypothesen der Hausarbeit lauten: Economics of shortage entstand im Sozialismus und ist ein sowjetisches Phänomen. Das Budget war für die Schwerindustrie zu groß und es mangelte an Geld für die anderen Industrien, wie der Ölwirtschaft. Dieses wird durch die Produktionszahlen-, in Mio. Tonnen verdeutlicht. Der Untersuchungszeitraum umfasst die Phase der Existenz der Sowjetunion. Diese wurde 1922 gegründet und zerfiel im Jahr 1991. Weltgeschichtlich spielt die Sowjetunion im Kalten Krieg, der nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg einsetzte, eine Rolle. Diese Hausarbeit stellt eine empirische Analyse dar. Die erste Hypothese besagt, dass es sich bei der die sowjetischen Ökonomie um eine ressourcenabhängige Wirtschaft handelt. Die zweite Hypothese beinhaltet, dass Economics of shortage, die sowjetische Misswirtschaft, durch das Übergewicht der Schwerindustrie entsteht.  Die Hausarbeit beschreibt nach der Einleitung zunächst die Planwirtschaft als Wirtschaftssystem, die das Gegenteil des kapitalistischen Wirtschaftssystems in der Ära des Kalten Krieges war. Das nächste Kapitel befasst sich mit dem Scherpunkt der Hausarbeit, mit Economics of shortage. Es folgen die Auswertung, Literaturliste und Selbstständigkeitserklärung. Damit leitet die Hausarbeit zur Planwirtschaft über.

Chapter 1 examines the significance of ‘green’ buildings on the operational and financial performance of REITs. The Chapter covers different direct real estate sectors, namely office, retail and residential, for the REITS concerned to evaluate the consistency of the results.Chapter 2 looks at the risk neutral and non-risk neutral pricing of real estate investment trusts in Singapore (S-REITs), via comparing the average of the individual ratios (of deviation between expected and observed closing price/observed closing price), with the ratio (of standard deviation/mean) for closing prices, via the binomial options pricing tree model.Chapter3 highlights that while the Markowitz portfolio theory (MPT) is popular in modern finance to model portfolios with maximum total returns (TRs) for a given systematic risk, the more flexible multivariate copula model is introduced that enables investors and portfolio managers to obtain the optimal portfolio.Chapter 4 looks at a value investing framework, in which a REIT and real estate comany investment operation is deemed to be one, where a “thorough analysis”, should promise the safety of a principal and an adequate total return.Chapter 5 examines the market reactions of Malaysia’s listed property trusts and property common stocks to corporate restructuring activities – direct real estate asset acquisitions and new listings.Chapter 6 reports the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) consultations with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF), to introduce the Income Tax Act (ITA) amendments, and a new temporary relief measure for real estate investment trusts (REITs) in Singapore. Social Enterprise is a worldwide movement of alternative organisational and business models, but it is sometimes difficult to know precisely the meaning of the term. In Essential Social Enterprise, Freer Spreckley traces the origin and development of social enterprise and shows how, over time, both the term and values have been altered and sometimes misinterpreted. The book praises the growth of supplementary and essential initiatives that widen the support for social enterprise influencing traditional business infrastructure mechanisms. The best known is the triple bottom line of Profit, People and Planet that has become the default criteria for corporate social responsibility.The book's central thesis is that it is excellent to see the growth of complementary social tools and different social enterprise applications, but questions whether these are displacement activities avoiding essential system change to corporate ownership and control.
