Academic Paper from the year 2023 in the subject Business economics - Investment and Finance, , language: English, abstract: The aim of this essay focuses on the preferred leadership in financial institutions to address ethics and corporate governance. Despite the existence of professional leadership within financial institutions, there are still prone to failures resulting from ethical and corporate governance challenges like other organizations.

Wells Fargo scandal (2002-2016) was used as a practical example to conceptualize and evaluate leadership failure in multilevel organizations using; trait, skill, behavioral among others.
Board of directors had lousy behavior, failing to prevail over the lies traded by the executives. Exhibit (1) Wells Fargo executives ignored all the red flags raised by the other employees and continued to lie to the board of directors, regulators, and controlled bank public disclosures. The board of director’s lousy behavior resonates to unwanted leadership.
 
The top executives of Wells Fargo, demonstrated several unethical practices. Exhibit (2) Wells Fargo trading hard earned reputation for short term profits unethically. These among others, exhibited acts that demonstrate lack of transparency, lack of trust value, lack of greater good concern, and lack of service for others.

The preferred leadership in financial institutions to address ethics and corporate governance   based on Wells Fargo, leadership conceptualization and evaluation is servant leadership.

Case Study from the year 2024 in the subject Business economics - E-Commerce, grade: A, , language: English, abstract: This paper focuses on how Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning have changed decisions in retailing, healthcare, financing, and manufacturing careers. They demonstrate how AI is used in supply chain management to support the decision-making process by making forecasts, processing data, and optimizing operations, leading to higher efficiency, decreased costs, and increased customer satisfaction. Thus, the research incorporates quantitative and qualitative approaches, such as surveys and interviews with key stakeholders, and employs statistical and content analysis methods

While adopting the decision theory and systems thinking perspectives, this research paper highlights the necessity of effectively and adequately implementing AI into an organization permanently to achieve more benefits. The following are realizable out-of-the-box solutions that the study suggests, including audiences for employees, data protection for compliance, and conscientization of fairness in AI algorithms. Future directions include situations where these applications are to be broadened to weigh on ethical issues and to encourage optimal technological fairness that will, in turn, ensure sustainable business improvement and innovation.

Es soll festgestellt werden, ob und in welchem Umfang eine Korrelation zwischen den genannten Kriterien besteht. Die erlangten Ergebnisse werden dargestellt und analysiert. Außerdem resultiert aus den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen eine Handlungsempfehlung für Unternehmen. Ein wichtiges Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Wechselwirkung der Kriterien „Mitarbeitermotivation“, „Arbeitszeitgestaltung“ und „Fluktuationsgedanke“ aufzuzeigen. 

Der deutsche Arbeitsmarkt wandelt sich in nahezu allen Branchen von einem Arbeitgeber- hin zu einem Arbeitnehmermarkt. Hinzu kommen der demografische Wandel, Führungskräftemangel sowie die Konkurrenz durch attraktive Arbeitgeber am Markt. Diese Trends lassen die Arbeit des Personalmanagements für Unternehmen deutlich bedeutender werden.  Zufriedene und qualifizierte Mitarbeiter gelten als Fundament für den Unternehmenserfolg und sind in der heutigen Zeit wichtiger denn je. Verschiedene Unternehmen stehen im Wettkampf leistungsfähige Mitarbeiter zu gewinnen, binden und fördern.  Für den Unternehmenserfolg spielen die Mitarbeitertypen eine entscheidende Rolle. So ließ sich aufgrund von Studien herausstellen, dass erfolgreiche Unternehmen mehr engagierte als unzufriedene Mitarbeiter beschäftigen. Eine förderliche Unternehmenskultur ist unabhängig von Branche, Unternehmensgröße oder Eigentümerstruktur und sollte von Managern für eine nachhaltige Mitarbeiterbindung angestrebt werden. Denn Unternehmen mit zufriedenen Mitarbeitern sind nicht nur effektiver und erfolgreicher, sondern auch die Fluktuationsrate ist geringer. Ungewollte Fluktuation ist für Unternehmen eine kostspielige Angelegenheit und zeitaufwendig.
