Housing Rent Dynamics in Voi Town and its Environs

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich VWL - Fallstudien, Länderstudien, Note: 1,0, Fachhochschule Westküste Heide, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel dieser Hausarbeit ist es, aufzuzeigen, auf welche Ursachen die hohe Jugendarbeitslosenquote in Spanien zurückzuführen ist. Darauf aufbauend sollen die Folgen für die spanische Volkswirtschaft aufgezeigt und analysiert werden. Eine der wohl größten volkswirtschaftlichen Herausforderungen des Landes Spanien und der Weltwirtschaft stellt die andauernd hohe Jugendarbeitslosigkeit dar. Auch nach der großen Wirtschafts- und Finanzkrise im Jahr 2008 verharrt die Jugendarbeitslosenquote Spaniens, trotz positiver Tendenz, weiterhin auf einem unzumutbar hohen Niveau.

Jugendarbeitslosigkeit in Spanien. Folgen für die spanische Volkswirtschaft

Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2023 in the subject Economics - Case Scenarios, , language: English, abstract: What is the causal relationship between population growth and socio- economic development of the town? How do socio-economic developments respond due to dynamics in Population growth? What should be the plausible policy recommendations ought to be taken into account in order to reduce the rapid population growth and bring its socio-economic improvement? The general objective of this study is to assess the impact of rapid population growth on socio economic development of Ambo town of west Shoa Zone of the Oromia regional state. The studies aim to provide recent and comprehensive information on the impact of rapid population growth on socio-economic development of the town. It also tells us the impact of rapid population in urban areas that   result from population growth through high fertility rate, and high rural-urban migration. The studies provide information’s on current condition of different data profiles and policy recommendations on the impact of rapid population growth on economic development of Ambo town. It also used for policy makers on social services and economic development of the town. It further contributes to the existing literature by extending the works of others and helps in filling the knowledge gap in this area. The paper organized into five main chapters with the first chapter including background, the statement of problem, research question, objectives, and the scope of the study, and significance of the study. The second chapter mainly focuses on review of literatures. The third chapter is the research methodology. The fourth chapter contains data analysis and interpretation and the fifth chapter is conclusion and recommendation.

Impact of Rapid Population Growth on Socio Economic Development (in Case of Ambo Town)

Master's Thesis from the year 2021 in the subject Economics - Case Scenarios, grade: 2, University of Bayreuth (Economics), language: English, abstract: Climate change is one of the world's major challenges to overcome. After the 2015 Paris Agreement, 196 countries around the globe agreed to undertake policy measures for keeping the average rise of global temperature below 2° Celsius by 2050. The main goal of this global governance framework is to help the parties mobilize financial resources and mitigate the effects of climate change. Under the agreement, every country must regularly report its contributions to emission reductions.

The governmental budgets worldwide will not be sufficient to finance the necessary climate change mitigation and adaptation infrastructure projects. On the one hand, there exists a large investment gap in developing countries of around 530 billion United States dollar (USD) that need to be invested by 2030 solely in the energy sector to meet the countries’ sustainable infrastructure needs. Since the urbanization rate is rapidly increasing, especially cities in emerging economies urgently need large amounts of capital. On the other hand, large institutional investors are increasingly introducing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria in their investment decisions and incorporating ‘green’ mandates in their statutes. One potential instrument to meet policymaker’s and investor’s needs are green bonds (GBs).

Therefore, this research aims to investigate the market barriers for municipal green bonds (MGBs) in Colombia. Since the topic has a niche character, the research method is based on a literature review and three experts’ interviews to add an insightful perspective of market practitioners. The structural barriers identified as obstacles to market development were macroeconomic variables that limit the access to capital markets, political variables such as corruption, conflicts, rivalries between parties and cortoplacismo as well as market skepticism to-wards new financial instruments and ‘green’ topics. Additionally, some specific market barriers of the green bonds market are significantly high transaction costs, lack of technical knowledge, dependence on external market actors, liquidity, and greenwashing risk. The last chapter of this master thesis presents policy recommendations for three key market actors: Colombian municipalities, the central government, and multilateral development banks.

Should Colombian Cities Issue Green Bonds?

Master's Thesis from the year 2020 in the subject Business economics - Offline Marketing and Online Marketing, grade: 3.65, Wollega University, course: Marketing Management, language: English, abstract: Now a day’s marketers are struggling to increase their brand preferences by customers and trying to avoid competitors from grabbing of these acquired customers mind. The purpose of this study was aimed to examine the factors affecting consumer brand preference of beer products in Nekemte Town. The study tried to identify the influence of eight determinant factors of brand preference on beer consumers. This study adopted explanatory research design supported with deductive research approach.The population of the study comprised beer consumers in the town. Convenience and purposive sampling techniques were used to trace the final respondents. Data was collected from 351 respondents by using a five-point likert scale structured questionnaire. Correlation and regression analysis techniques were employed to calculate the magnitude of association among the study variables and to determine the percentage of change caused by the explanatory variables on brand preference. The finding from the association analysis reveals that the explanatory variables were statistically significant and associated with consumers brand preference for beer products in Nekemte town. However, the finding from the causation analysis reveals that four predicting factors i.e. product price, product availability, situational variations and social media were statistically significant and their coefficient of determination (R2) equals to 0.627, which indicates that 62.7% of the variation that occurred in the consumer’s preference of beer brands was explained by the model, while the remaining perceived quality, promotion, social factors and brand image were statistically insignificant at (P&lt;0.05). Based on these findings, the researcher recommends that Heineken Brewery Share Company (HBSC) which wants to be on the cutting edge of competition was advisable to develop effective pricing strategy to make their product price affordable for beer consumers, and it was better to use social media advertising strategies which emphasize on creating awareness and leaving a positive impression on their pages  in order to increase consumer’s preference for the company beer brands and improve their positioning.

Factors Affecting Brand Preference. The Case of Beer Brands in Nekemte Town, Ethiopia

Master's Thesis from the year 2019 in the subject Economics - Case Scenarios, , language: English, abstract: The objective of this study is to examine the effect of farmer education on farm productivity of small-scale maize producing farmers. The educational system in Ethiopia is differentiating by low participation rates, particularly in rural areas. The agriculture productivity and income of rural famer is increased by farmer education (both formal and informal education). In order to achieve the objective of the study cross-sectional data has been collected from 200 maize producing farmers on the production level, farm size, farm input and equipment used, educational level, farm experience, gender, age, secondary occupation, etc. Semi-Structured questionnaire has been administered, and interview was conducted for selected farmers in order to collect the relevant data. Both descriptive statistics and econometrics model were used to analysis the data collected from household head. Cobb-Douglas production function model has been used to analysis the effect of farm education on farm productivity by including the education level as input of production.

Diese Hausarbeit, im Rahmen des Seminars „Economic History of Russia and Eurasia“, befasst sich mit dem Thema Economics of shortage. Es geht um die sowjetische Planwirtschaft. Zeitlich gesehen befindet sich das Phänomen sozialistische Planwirtschaft in der Ära des Kalten Krieges, der zwischen den USA und der Sowjetunion ausgefochten wurde. Im Westen sind die USA der Leitstaat. Die Sowjetunion bildet im Ostblock den Leitstaat und dient als solcher bei dem Wirtschaftssystem der weiteren Staaten des sozialistischen Lagers. Der Fokus dieser Hausarbeit wird aber auf den negativen Eigenschaften der sowjetischen Planwirtschaft liegen. Diese Hausarbeit beinhaltet eine empirische Analyse auf der Basis von Texten. Die abhängige Variable der Hausarbeit ist somit Economics of shortage. Zu den unabhängigen Variablen zählen die Produktion der Konsumgüter und Güter der Schwerindustrie, sowie das GDP per head in der sozialistischen Planwirtschaft. Die Hypothesen der Hausarbeit lauten: Economics of shortage entstand im Sozialismus und ist ein sowjetisches Phänomen. Das Budget war für die Schwerindustrie zu groß und es mangelte an Geld für die anderen Industrien, wie der Ölwirtschaft. Dieses wird durch die Produktionszahlen-, in Mio. Tonnen verdeutlicht. Der Untersuchungszeitraum umfasst die Phase der Existenz der Sowjetunion. Diese wurde 1922 gegründet und zerfiel im Jahr 1991. Weltgeschichtlich spielt die Sowjetunion im Kalten Krieg, der nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg einsetzte, eine Rolle. Diese Hausarbeit stellt eine empirische Analyse dar. Die erste Hypothese besagt, dass es sich bei der die sowjetischen Ökonomie um eine ressourcenabhängige Wirtschaft handelt. Die zweite Hypothese beinhaltet, dass Economics of shortage, die sowjetische Misswirtschaft, durch das Übergewicht der Schwerindustrie entsteht.  Die Hausarbeit beschreibt nach der Einleitung zunächst die Planwirtschaft als Wirtschaftssystem, die das Gegenteil des kapitalistischen Wirtschaftssystems in der Ära des Kalten Krieges war. Das nächste Kapitel befasst sich mit dem Scherpunkt der Hausarbeit, mit Economics of shortage. Es folgen die Auswertung, Literaturliste und Selbstständigkeitserklärung. Damit leitet die Hausarbeit zur Planwirtschaft über.

Fachhochschule Köln, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Folgende konkrete Fragestellungen sollen als roter Faden der Ausarbeitung dienen: Können Determinanten und Bedingungsfaktoren der Innovationsentwicklung identifiziert werden? In welchem Zusammenhang stehen die Kulturdimensionen, die Unterstützungslandschaft und das Wagniskapital mit der Innovationsentwicklung von Start-ups? Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit wird als Literaturdiskussion aufgelegt. Dementsprechend sollen die Forschungsfragen durch Exzerption literaturwissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse beantwortet werden. Kapitel 2 dient der Definition essenzieller Begrifflichkeiten. Zudem werden Hofstedes Kulturdimension und Daten zur Innovationsentwicklung sowie demografischer, kultureller und politischer Gegebenheiten der Länder dargestellt. Das Ziel des Kapitels besteht darin, in die Thematik einzuführen und eine Vergleichbarkeit des Status quo beider Länder hinsichtlich des Forschungsobjekts zu erzeugen. Kapitel 3 dient der Analyse und Gegenüberstellung der Länder nach den Kulturdimensionen nach Hofstede sowie dem Wagniskapital und der Unterstützungslandschaft. Die inhaltlichen Analyseergebnisse sollen in Kapitel 4 resümiert und in Form einer methodischen Reflexion hinterfragt werden. Das Ziel des Kapitels besteht in der abschließenden Zusammenfassung jeglicher Erkenntnisse sowie der Offenlegung weiteren Forschungspotenzials.  Die Digitalisierung und Technisierung der Wirtschaft hat neue Möglichkeiten des Marketings, des Produkt- oder Dienstleistungsdesigns sowie der Gestaltung des Handels im Allgemeinen eröffnet. Die Internationalisierung der Märkte führt zu der geografischen Diversifizierung der Wertschöpfungskette, womit Unternehmen aus verschiedenen Ländern nun zu direkten Konkurrenten lokaler Unternehmen werden. Durch die Internationalisierung und Digitalisierung der Wirtschaft verändern sich die Wettbewerbsbedingungen für Unternehmen ebenso weitreichend wie die von Wirtschaftsstandorten. Ein historisches Beispiel für den Niedergang eines Wirtschaftsstandortes ist das Ruhrgebiet. Hier boomte einst die Stahlindustrie und Kohleförderung, bis in den 1980er-Jahren die Zechen geschlossen wurden, da alternative Anbieter aus dem Ausland Kohle und Stahl deutlich günstiger fördern und veräußern konnten.

An impact of Pre-Brexit and Post-Brexit on Indian Capital Market. A Study of Selected Industries

The study examines the relationship between employee performance and salary, establishes the relationship between job security and employee performance in Oyam Town Council. A cross-sectional survey design method was used in which secondary data was collected using a computer from authorized sources.The study used a sample size of 52 respondents from a total population of 60 and thematic analysis techniques were done with the help of Stata and a statistical package for social scientists software, after which inferential statistics were made. According to Omollo, as an input, an organization must have a statement, a philosophy, a series of programs and goals which focuses on the skills and talents of its employees for it’s success. All of these must be managed with care and guidance so that the organization’s mission, duration for it’s stability of the work and continuity is successfully accomplished. Therefore, the Motivation effect is a need inside employee’s demands and help to achieve it without irregularities, and motivating the employees broadens their skills to meet the organizational demands.In addition, every branch manager needs to have the responsibility to work with the staff and obtain out their individual needs and put them to the organization’s needs. This can be done by motivating employees. Every individual in an organization is motivated by some different ways and therefore, employee motivation is a reflection of the level of energy, commitment, and creativity that a Company’s workers bring to their jobs. A manager needed to motivate employees and subordinates towards the accomplishment of the organization’s vision. Therefore, motivation is defined as giving employees incentives that cause them to act in desired ways.

How could China, with the largest population on earth and its equally diverse population, go from being an emerging economy with an average income of 54 US dollars per year, to the economic power it is today? First, the country will be presented as such, then we consider the economic growth and the sectors. In the third chapter, we focus on the reforms, their impact on the people and the economy. Then, in the next chapter, we will deal with the energy and resources. China's influence in Africa is dealt with in the fifth chapter and the "One Belt One Road" initiative follows in the sixth chapter. Finally, there is a summary with an outlook on the future of China and the global economy.Das Thema dieser Arbeit ist die chinesische Wirtschaft, und der Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem außerordentlich schnellen Wachstum dieser Wirtschaft. Wie konnte sich China mit der größten Bevölkerung der Erde und seiner ebenso vielfältigen Bevölkerung von einem Schwellenland mit einem Durchschnittseinkommen von 54 US-Dollar pro Jahr zu der Wirtschaftsmacht entwickeln, die es heute ist? Zunächst wird das Land als solches vorgestellt, dann betrachten wir das Wirtschaftswachstum und die Sektoren. Im dritten Kapitel konzentrieren wir uns auf die Reformen und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Menschen und die Wirtschaft. Im nächsten Kapitel geht es dann um Energie und Ressourcen. Chinas Einfluss in Afrika wird im fünften Kapitel behandelt und die "One Belt One Road"-Initiative folgt im sechsten Kapitel. Abschließend gibt es eine Zusammenfassung mit einem Ausblick auf die Zukunft Chinas und der Weltwirtschaft.

Chinese Economy and its Rapid Growth

Hierbei gilt es, zu untersuchen, welche Strategien die Unternehmen über die sechs Perioden des Planspiels hinsichtlich der Preispolitik ihrer Produkte und Services verfolgt haben. 

Es gilt die Auswirkungen dieser Strategien auf den Unternehmenserfolg, in Form des Periodenüberschusses zu analysieren und auszuwerten. In diesem Zusammenhang ist die Wirksamkeit der Strategien ebenso zu überprüfen. Grundlegend gilt es jedoch im Rahmen dieses Assignments, die Frage zu klären, durch welche Faktoren sich die Preisgestaltung für ein Produkt oder eine Dienstleistung beeinflussen lassen. In diesem Zusammenhang gilt es die verschiedenen Methoden der Preisbildung und ebenso die Preisstrategien in der Theorie zu erläutern.

Preispolitik. Preisgestaltung und Preispolitik am Beispiel der Planspielunternehmen

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2016 in the subject Economics - Case Scenarios, Addis Ababa University, course: economics, language: English, abstract: The main objective of the study is to see overall contribution of tourism to the Ethiopian economy. Specifically: Tourism contribution to the GDP of the country, Tourism contribution to employment, Tourism contribution to foreign exchange generation, To examine the causal effect of tourism on economic growth. Furthermore this research is to investigate the contribution of tourism for the Ethiopian economy over the year 2004-2014 for descriptive and 1991-2014 for econometrics. Graphs, table and, percent and Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) Approach to Co-integration and Error Correction Model are applied in order to investigate the long-run effect of tourism receipt on economic growth. Specifically this research assessed the impact of tourism on GDP, employment, foreign exchange earnings, and economic growth. The result shows tourism positive contribution to GDP, employment, foreign exchange earnings and stable relationship between tourism receipt and economic growth. The empirical result reveals that tourism receipt found to have positive impact on economic growth. So the government and citizens should strive to improve tourism industry and to generate more income especially foreign exchange.According to WTO, tourism is a combination of activities travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one year for leisure, business and other activities. It is beyond the common perception of tourism as being limited to holiday activity. The WTO further explains that tourism refers to all activities of visitors including both tourist (overnight visitors) and same day visitors. This definition was adopted by UK government and WTO used it since 2004.Tourism developed many years back when people travel from one place to another place for different purpose. Human beings have been active travelers for the purpose of hunting and gathering, herding animals in small groups that provided them with food, skin for cloth and bones for making different tools.
