With Liberty, Justice, and Affordable Housing For All

There has been pathetically little which is either truly new nor really all that innovative in the realm of low-cost housing since that very first prefabbed "Panel Home" was shipped to Massachusetts from England in 1624.

Okay, except that yes: Now these so-called "modular homes" are available in truly uncomfortable/impractical - if not entirely unrealistic/unusable - "Tiny" sizes. That, and they continue to be advertised/promoted despite their lack of any number of consistently overlooked, unaddressed and otherwise-unmentioned essential features; such as utility hook-ups and permanent foundations. Oh, and no: Don't even think about relocating these modular homes following their always-fascinating if not entirely impressive initial expansion and installation, as that will potentially destroy a good deal of their interior's finish work.

Very much to the contrary then, this booklet explores the virtually untapped, untried and unexploited world of completely finished and easily relocatable - if nonetheless topless and thus also "partial" - owner-occupied cartridge homes.

Cheap and efficient to manufacture and install - but most of all packed with an abundance of highly desirable features - these so-called Tray(R) Homes are not merely a first-step solution to the many unfortunate situations and circumstances of the under-housed but - and perhaps even more so - present an exciting and exceedingly attractive long-term (if not lifetime!) alternative to trailer parks, apartments, condo's and yes: Even those hallowed/sacred "single family detached" dwellings.

So yes, these partial cartridge homes do in fact require a "Frame" to make them fully functional but then again our automobiles have long required roads, highways, bridges and other types of public infrastructure to make them at all useful, and yet owning and operating a private vehicle on pubic property has probably always made perfect sense to you even so.

Suffice it to say that perhaps it is "merely housing's turn"...
