Das neue Lehrbuch zum Allgemeinen Verwaltungsrecht von Claudio Franzius bietet eine verwaltungsrechtliche Dogmatik im Kontext. Es will die klassische Zweiteilung von Verwaltungsrecht und Verwaltungswissenschaft auf der einen Seite und Verwaltungsrecht und Unionsrecht auf der anderen Seite überwinden. Aus verwaltungswissenschaftlicher Perspektive soll das Steuerungsmodell für die Darstellung des Allgemeinen Verwaltungsrechts fruchtbar gemacht werden, etwa bei der Prüfung behördlicher Ermessensentscheidungen: die der Verwaltung im Wege des Ermessens eingeräumten Letztentscheidungsbefugnisse werden nach dem Steuerungsmodell nicht als Wahlfreiheit, sondern als ein durch den Gesetzeszweck angeleitetes Abwägen von Richtigkeitskriterien verstanden. Eingehend wird die europarechtliche Perspektive auf das Verwaltungsrecht dargestellt.
Weiterhin aufrechterhalten bleibt die Trennung zwischen Allgemeinem und Besonderem Verwaltungsrecht. Das Lehrbuch stellt die Bezüge zum Besonderen Verwaltungsrecht dar, wohingegen auf eine Darstellung des öffentlichen Sachenrechts verzichtet wird. Die wesentlichen Anspruchsgrundlagen des Staatshaftungsrechts werden behandelt. Zahlreiche Beispielsfälle runden die Darstellung ab.

This book provides the first detailed analysis of the decision to prosecute made by the statutory Australian Offices of Director of Prosecution.

It examines the system of prosecution as part of the executive branch of government, and the role and challenges of the individual prosecutors who make decisions within the system. This book provides an in-depth analysis of the reintroduction and recovery of the Mexican wolf in the American Southwest, with a particular focus on the role of the Federal judiciary. Edward A. Fitzgerald contends that federal courts have played a critical role in facilitating the species' return, primarily through their interpretation of statutory law - most notably, the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The courts rejected challenges from the livestock industry, reaffirmed Federal authority over the recovery process, and struck down certain Federal regulations that hindered effective wolf management.
