Deconstructing the Interdisciplinary Study of International Law and International Relations

Profifußball, Daseinsvorsorge, Gemeinwohl. Dieses Buch untersucht erstmals, und dies am Beispiel des 1. FC Union Berlin, wie die drei Begriffe miteinander verknüpft sind. Michael Schäfer, der Autor und Experte für Daseinsvorsorge, und Christian Arbeit, FCU-Kommunikationschef und Vorstandsvorsitzender der Stiftung „UNION VEREINT. Schulter an Schulter“, vereinen ihr Wissen, um zu zeigen, wie Fußball weit über das Spielfeld hinausgehen und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung übernehmen kann. Christian Arbeit öffnete dem Autor Zugänge beim 1. FC Union Berlin, damit er genauer unter die Lupe nehmen konnte, was auf dem Spielfeld nicht zu sehen ist. Das Buch hat einen Autor, ist aber ein gemeinsames Werk. &nbsp; &nbsp;
Der 1. FC Union Berlin ist an der Alten Försterei zuhause und spielt seit 2019 mit seiner Männerprofimannschaft in der obersten Liga des deutschen Fußballs. Dorthin haben es 2025 auch die Profi-Frauen geschafft. Der Verein steht aber auch für Bildung, Körperkultur und Sport, Nachhaltigkeit, Integration/Inklusion, Kultur, Gesundheit, Lebensmittelversorgung, Jugend- und Sozialarbeit. Das alles, und noch einiges mehr, gehört zur Daseinsvorsorge. Die Leistungen sind lebenswichtig. Sie müssen erbracht werden und für jeden verfügbar sein. Verantwortlich sind der Bund, die Länder, die Kommunen. Aber bei den Leistungen gibt es im Umfang und in der Qualität erhebliche Defizite. Wie ausgerechnet ein Profifußballverein dazu beiträgt, diese Lücken zu schließen, steht in diesem Buch. „Der Ball ist rund“ und „Ein Spiel dauert 90 Minuten“ - Fußball kann aber viel mehr sein, als es diese Binsenwahrheiten vermuten lassen.&nbsp;
