Innovations in legal forms are among the major changes in corporate law. Lawmakers around the world are turning out to be remarkably willing to experiment and to make reforms. In this volume, the authors analyze a selection of approximately 20 recent national and international creations of legal forms. The abundant individual studies provide initial answers to key questions which had been neglected up to now, starting with the conditions for the success of new forms of corporate law, including national and international competition in the field of legal forms as well as the optimal number of corporate forms.
