My friend Allie 3 - Hybrid Edition allango. Pupil's Book

The Hybrid Edition means that you can use both the Print Edition and Digital Edition. You'll find a licence key (for teachers and students) in the Print Edition which gives you direct access to the Digital Edition and all the digital media content on the allango learning platform.

The Pupil's Book offers a short welcome unit and 8 engaging units. Each unit begins with a guided Visible Thinking Routine to activate prior knowledge and help pupils to share ideas while exploring an opening image related to the unit topic.

Unit structure

• Spread 1 - Introducing the unit question: Pupils engage with the topic and learning goals.
• Spread 2 - Story time: Pupils listen to or read a story, explore key language in context and develop reading and listening skills. Social-emotional learning elements encourage reflection on feelings, relationships and personal experiences.
• Spread 3 - Words and grammar: Vocabulary and structures are practised and linked to pupils' own worlds.
• Spread 4 - Words and sounds: Games and varied activities consolidate learning and expand functional language.
• Spread 5 - Our world: Pupils apply what they have learned to real-life contexts and share personal experiences.
• Spread 6 - CLIL corner & learning situation task: Cross-curricular content combines language learning with knowledge about the world. The learning situation task allows pupils to apply unit learning creatively and meaningfully.

Digital resources
Pupils can access all audio, songs and videos on the allango platform without prior registration.

• Videos for each real-life learning situation recap key unit questions and prepare pupils for the final task.
