'The Lawyer's Participation in the Client Company': In times of digitalization and artificial intelligence, the remuneration of lawyers with equity interests offers, in particular, start-ups with limited capital the opportunity to gain access to high-quality legal advice from large commercial law firms. This thesis examines, from the perspectives of professional, corporate, and capital markets law, the permissibility of lawyers holding interests in client companies and identifies the risks arising from a lawyer's position as a shareholder.
