Scientific Essay from the year 2022 in the subject Engineering - Industrial Engineering and Management, grade: A+, , course: M.Sc. (Environmental Studies and Resource Management), language: English, abstract: It is now a well-established fact that air pollution has worsened over the years and the major credit goes to industrial growth. The boilers and stoves are one of the major sources of air pollution from the industries. Therefore, controlling their emissions to a significant extent can lead to the reduction of air pollution. The greenhouse gases of family NOx are important pollutants to be considered in this regard. As per the study by CPCB (2011), in Delhi, industry power plants contribute to approximately 65% of total NOx emissions. Therefore, control of this pollutant may not only lead to the air quality improvement in terms of NOx pollution but will also be beneficial to the environment as NOx cause many ecotoxic effects such as acid rain, eutrophication, ozone formation etc. There are various emission control technologies available for NOx emissions, which can be categorized into two parts-Combustion Control and Post-combustion technologies in the particular context of boilers. Post-combustion methods are mostly expensive as compared to the combustion control methods and are usually not deployed for boilers having input less than 100 MM Btu/hr. So, the focus should be more on combustion control rather than post-combustion treatment. One such powerful method of combustion control is named Flue Gas Recirculation (FGR) which causes a significant reduction in NOx emissions by recirculating flue gases from the boiler exhaust duct into the main combustion chamber. The essay discusses details of the different aspects of this technology.

La construcción de prácticas profesionales en una guardia de salud mental

El caleidoscopio de la interdisciplina

El fenomeno de violencia filio-parental existe desde hace tiempo, aunque se ha visibilizado mas en los ultimos anos.   Son diversos los factores que explican y mantienen este tipo de maltrato y la alusin a la educacin deficiente y permisiva recibida por los menores, suele estar entre las ms recurrentes.   En este libro se expone el fenmeno de violencia filio-parental desde las distintas aportaciones que la investigacin cientfica lo han abordado, pero, sobre todo, se muestran los datos de una larga investigacin criminolgica que durante tres aos se llev a cabo en poblacin espaola.   Entre los resultados ms destacados, figura el hecho de que ni la magnitud del fenmeno parece ser la que es, ni las variables explicativas de este tipo de violencia son siempre las mismas en cada caso. Adems, se presta una especial atencin a los padres y madres vctima de la violencia filio-parental, que no siempre son considerados como tal, ni reciben la consideracin social que merecen, minando esto sus esfuerzos y pretensiones de ayuda para el problema tan grave que estn viviendo.

Master's Thesis from the year 2019 in the subject Economics - Industrial Economics, grade: Very Good, , language: English, abstract: The introduction of IP development in Ethiopia is currently a topical issue. Both the Government and private developers are working on the development of IPs in different part of the country and some of them have started operation while the others are waiting for their completion.The main objective of this study is to exploring the experiences of IP developments in African countries, focusing on identifying main opportunities and challenges and lessons from and to Ethiopia. Both primary and secondary data sources were used. Documents, key informant interview and FGD were among the main data collection instruments used to examine and show IP practices in the continent and Ethiopia’s Bole Lemi and Hawassa IPs in particular. Officials and experts from Ethiopian IPDC and EIC, HRMs from nine companies, IPs' managers and employees of enterprises have responded the interview questions; households who are evicted due to IPs constructions have also participated in the FGD and different documents reviewed. Data have been interpreted through theoretical basis, basic standard, conception and comparative approach.
