La question du développement durable exige une rigueur dans les notions de choix, d'organisation et de mise en œuvre. Face à une injustice effroyable, dans une société abandonée à la ruine, telle une poubelle par laquelle ne passe et ne repasse un projet de salubrité, l'écrivain se doit de prendre sa plume et peindre à belle vue, les maux qui se défilent en mots, en vain. C'est ce que fait l'auteur, en se lançant dans cette écriture épistolaire où, dans une fiction proche de la réalité, il communique en bons citoyens, l'iconique Duala Manga Bell, quelques citoyens camerounais et l'apologiste du succès qui, joue l'intermédiaire. Cet ouvrage n'est seulement pas un récit ni une simple narration, il est une imagination très proche de la réalité, qui transcende les limites du temps, pour mettre en contact des concitoyens camerounais d'une époque à ceux d'une autre.

The issue of sustainable development demands rigor in the concepts of choice, organization, and implementation. Faced with appalling injustice, in a society abandoned to ruin, like a garbage dump through which no sanitation project ever passes or re-passes, the writer must take up his pen and clearly depict the ills that are merely flung into words, in vain. This is what
the author does, embarking on this epistolary writing where, in a fiction close to reality, he communicates, as good citizens, the iconic Duala Manga Bell, several Cameroonian citizens, and the apologist for success who acts as intermediary. This work is not merely a story or a simple narrative; it is an imaginative work very close to reality, which transcends the limits of time, to connect fellow Cameroonians of one era with those of another.

This book, MythYL Tragedy: Unlearning Myths Built on Yuck Logic, is about those unquestioned beliefs. Some of them may look harmless, but many are deeply damaging. In fact, the harm caused by blind belief can be as tragic and dangerous as manmade disasters like the methyl gas tragedy where negligence, lack of questioning, and blind acceptance led to irreversible loss. The comparison may sound strong, but the silent damage caused by irrational beliefs has affected generations, lives, health, choices, and freedom.This is where Yuck Logic (YL) comes in logic that feels uncomfortable, irrational, outdated, or simply wrong, yet is still accepted without question. Ng¿g¿ wa Thiong'o is Kenya's most prolific writer. He was born in Limuru (Central Kenya) in 1938 and educated at Makerere University (Uganda) and Leeds University (UK). He is well known internationally as a novelist, a playwright and a literary critic. His novels, aWeep Not, Child (1964), The River Between (1965), A Grain of Wheat (1967), Petals of Blood (1977) and Devil on the Cross (1980), have established him firmly in the world literary scene. He has had an impact with the
plays The Black Hermit (1968), 'This Time Tomorrow' (published in Short African Plays) and The Trial of Dedan Kimathi (1976), written with Mðcere Gðthae Møgo. Ng¿g¿ wa M¿ri¿ was born in Rolomo, Limuru in 1951. He was educated in Ngenia Secondary School and, from 1972 to 1974, worked with Kenya Posts and Telecommunications. He took a Diploma in Adult Education at the Institute of Adult Studies, University of Nairobi, and then joined the Institute for Development Studies. Whilst working at the Institute, he became involved with peasants and workers in Community Development at Kamirithu, Limuru.

I Will Marry When I Want

The author feels that warnings given or advice offered are all too often limited to a particular person or group of people and are frequently not fully understood and even forgotten in time. One only has to look at the increasing dissension, turmoil, hatred, political incompetence, corruption, lack of education, and questionable intellect of the masses, just to name a few, to realize that the human race is hurtling down the road of destruction.
Because of what is presently occurring and being planned for in the future, the eventual demise of a cohabited world community is at grave risk. It grieves the author having to witness the silencing of the voices of wisdom, the deliberate creation of social disharmony, the eradication of freedom, and the acceptance of these by the gullible masses.
Although he is merely a speck on the cog in a massive wheel, the author fervently hopes that his highly thought-provoking quotations will cause readers to take off their rose-colored glasses.
