Convicciones éticas, políticas, filosóficas o religiosas de los protagonistas del siglo de la ciencia

La cosmovisión de los grandes científicos del siglo XIX

Han transcurrido catorce años desde la publicación de la primera edición de Antropología de la inhumanidad, libro que se agotó muy rápido y que, gracias a la demanda que ha tenido en los diferentes portales académicos donde está disponible, se reeditó, con algunas modificaciones, en la Colección Estudios cijus de la Universidad de los Andes. El cambio más notable de esta nueva versión consiste en que incorpora apartes de mi libro Matar, rematar y contramatar. Las masacres de La Violencia en el Tolima (1948-1964), publicado en 1990 por el Centro de Investigación y Educación Popular (Cinep). En el 2004 el tema de las masacres era casi desconocido en Colombia. Recuerdo muy bien las caras de horror y desconcierto que había entre el público cuando hablaba de los cortes o mostraba fotografías donde estos aparecían; también recuerdo que la mitad del auditorio se salía del recinto antes de que terminara de hablar. Sin embargo, con el correr de los años fueron apareciendo nuevos análisis que enriquecieron el debate sobre el tema y propiciaron nuevos marcos de análisis. Entre ellos, quisiera mencionar algunos de indudable valor para el análisis de la violencia en Colombia. Para comenzar está el libro de la antropóloga Margarita Serje, El revés de la nación. Territorios salvajes, fronteras y tierras de nadie, publicado por la Universidad de los Andes en el 2005; el de Andrés Fernando Suárez, Identidades políticas y exterminio recíproco: masacres y guerra en Urabá, 1991-2001, publicado por La Carreta Editores en el 2007; el texto de José Burucúa y N. Kwiatkowski, Cómo sucedieron estas cosas. Representar masacres y genocidios, editado en Buenos Aires por la editorial Katz en el año 2014; el análisis hecho por Pablo Cañas, Adriana Ruiz, Blanca Jiménez, Daniela Londoño, Diana Ramírez et al., publicado por la Universidad de Antioquia en el 2015 bajo el título La construcción del enemigo en el conflicto armado colombiano 1998-2010. Por último, quiero mencionar el libro de Juan Felipe Urueña titulado El montaje en Aby Warburg y Walter Benjamin. 20 Antropología de la inhumanidad Un método alternativo para la representación de la violencia, el cual fue publicado en el 2017 por la editorial de la Universidad del Rosario, y el artículo de Ángela Uribe Botero titulado "Empatía y humillación sobre La Violencia en Colombia", publicado en el 2018 en Philosophical Readings. Menciono estos dos últimos textos porque su lectura y algunas conversaciones con sus autores me indujeron a pensar críticamente ciertos temas que habían quedado descuidados en mi primera versión del libro: el problema de la representación y el dilema de la animalización, los cuales retomo en esta nueva versión.

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;“Eusebism” is a new moral philosophy based on respect, whose purpose is to change paradigms and perspectives that prevent human beings from being free and aware. Eusebism’s unifying element is absolute and unconditional respect for everything that exists. From a material and transcendental perspective, it represents the only security on which to base relationships between all people and animals, to search for the best improvement possible and maximize overall well-being.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Eusebism is not based on faith, but on observation and interpretation without subjectivism, even based upon species, sex, age, origin, propensity, habit, social status, technological level, and historical epoch.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Humanism, animal rights, and environmentalism represent philosophical currents that, even if useful and innovative, remain confined within objective limitations since all consider just one element and automatically prevent referentiality to the other doctrines.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;The theory incorporates all those perspectives, assimilating inside a comprehensive general theory that rejects discrimination based on them.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Eusebism’s perspective inversion is explained by the question: “Why should I deny respect?”&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Based on existing moral philosophy, Carlo Prisco introduces Eusebism as a way to develop new perspectives on being and relating by offering practical tools to approach everyday life and transfer good thought into action.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Hier kommt der "Moral Case for CSR" zum Tragen, da er die Thematik beleuchtet, ob private Unternehmen tatsächlich zur Erzielung von maximalen Gewinnen verdammt sind oder ob sie nicht vielmehr eine inhärente Verantwortung für gesellschaftliche Problemfelder haben.

Er spricht über die Narzissten in Sneakers, die durch ihre Unfähigkeit, Ignoranz und Selbstüberschätzung ganze Unternehmen gegen die Wand fahren und ihre Mitarbeiter in den Abgrund der Hipster-Hölle reißen, von Missständen auf der Managementebene und den vermeintlich visionären Wirtschaftslenkern, die jedes Maß verloren zu haben scheinen. Der Autor warnt vor den fatalen Folgen und fordert dringend ein Umdenken in den Chefetagen – zum Wohle der Unternehmen und letztlich allen.

Seminar paper from the year 2016 in the subject Business economics - Banking, Stock Exchanges, Insurance, Accounting, grade: 1,3, University of Kassel, language: English, abstract: In the discussion about cost increase for German health care, the existence of a moral hazard problem is often mentioned. A bigger part of the costs are ascribed to the insured persons´ behavior or lifestyle. The insured person is led to an increased demand of medical services than without an insurance. But also doctors or pharmacists may be evidenced „unethical“ behavior on the part of supply-induced demand. Is it really an unethical or rather a rational behavior? Which experiences have been made with a higher self-participation of the insured people? In which context stay health care services and price elasticity? And how can you reduce the problem of moral hazard? These are just a few questions which will be examined in this paper. The first chapter begins with health insurance in general and explains the benefits and the risks of being insured. The second chapter gives a generally valid definition of moral hazard as well as in terms of health insurance in particular. The third chapter shows the empirical perspective from the point of view of insured people and doctors. Thereby, it will enlarge on the RAND experiment and the price elasticity in the German market. The fourth chapter gives a few solutions for moral hazard effects, whereby solutions for insured people and for alternative financing are here in the focus. The last chapter will give a conclusion to the discussed topic.
