Um eine gründliche Untersuchung der einschlägigen Normen zu ermöglichen, werden verschiedene Schlüsselbereiche behandelt. Dazu gehört auch die Einführung in die Richtlinie über digitale Inhalte (DIRL) und die Verwendung dieser Abkürzung zur Vereinfachung. Die Arbeit beginnt mit allgemeinen Definitionen und geht dann auf die systematischen Aspekte des neuen Fehlerbegriffs ein. Es werden auch die Kriterien für die Freiheit von Sach- und Produktfehlern behandelt, die sowohl subjektive als auch objektive Anforderungen umfassen.
