Staat und Loyalität

Is loyalty a necessary prerequisite for the success of a free society? On the one hand, loyalty means a commitment to the values of the constitutional state. On the other hand, this very state also protects the right of individuals to reject it or question its foundations. Despite this ambivalence, loyalty proves to be the stabilising bond that can ensure the protection and continuity of society when other social ties dissolve.
