Segregation in den oberösterreichischen Stadtregionen

This research report examines small-scale residential segregation in urban regions of Upper Austria. The spatial inequality of different population groups is calculated for various social characteristics (education, income, age groups), but the focus of this study is on the analysis of ethnic segregation, defined as the unequal distribution of different ethnic groups according to their country of birth. The study aims, firstly, to conduct spatially detailed analyses of ethnic segregation in small and medium-sized towns and their surrounding areas. Secondly, to identify the factors influencing the uneven distribution of ethnic groups at a small scale.
