Spannungsverhältnis zwischen der Treuepflicht und der richterlichen Unabhängigkeit

'Extrajudicial Activities of Judges. The Conflict between the Duty of Loyalty and Judicial Independence': This work analyzes the largely neglected field of judicial secondary employment law. Its central thesis is the inapplicability of rigid time restrictions to secondary employment for judges, as these infringe upon judicial independence. Furthermore, the study examines potential incompatibilities of secondary activities with the judicial service code and general civil service prohibitions, such as those concerning remuneration caps or the risk of damaging the reputation of the judiciary.
