'Modern Alternative Entities in the US. LLC, LLP, and LLLP as Sensible Alternatives to the Corporation?': Over the past decades, alternative entities such as the LLC have seen a significant rise in popularity in the US. This thesis examines the legal framework governing selected modern alternative entities, focusing in particular on freedom of contract. Futhermore, it evaluates whether modern alternative entities are, from a normative perspective, indeed sensible alternatives to the corporation.
