Menschen mit geistigen Behinderungen im deutschen Strafprozess

'Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in German Criminal Proceedings': No one may be discriminated against because of an intellectual disability, including in criminal proceedings. This study examines this largely unexplored field by analysing barriers to equal participation in German criminal proceedings. Based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, it identifies gaps in legal protection and develops the requirements for a needs-oriented criminal process.
