The plot of the book is about how the rule of law functions to protect corporate structures that facilitate the commission of globalized fraud and abuse. The rules of law are used to dilute and hide accountability of high managerial agents and controlling persons, performing as a tool in aid of centralized and concentrated capital interests, devouring and destabilizing small-to-medium-sized companies. The theories and concepts developed in the book chapters are explored then applied to a real case and controversy¿a mega-fraudulent bankruptcy in Argentina. In the zone of the world¿s largest grain manufacturing and exporting port complex, the VICENTIN SAIC default illustrates poignantly the premises of the book.



The book will be a good tool to illustrate to students how globalized financial capitalism may perform predation of other actors in a given domestic real economy; what are the origins and abuses of corporate law in the transnational context; what factors influence the economies of emergent countries in Latin America; and what should be the protective role of law. These concepts can be learned and applied in higher education and post-degree students through this study of allegations of mega-fraud arising from the VICENTIN complex of companies based in Argentina, including consideration of the role of Glencore Ltd.

Aus diesem Grund werden in dieser Ausarbeitung die Auswirkungen der Blockchain-Technologie auf das Controlling analysiert.Der Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) ist ein von der EU-Kommission herausgegebener Index, der die wichtigsten Komponenten und Indikatoren der digitalen Performance der EU-Mitgliedsstaaten zusammenfasst und die Entwicklung der Mitglieder in digitaler Konkurrenzfähigkeit verfolgt.  Im Jahr 2020 lag Deutschland im DESI mit einem Indexwert von 56,1 lediglich im Mittelfeld unter den anderen EU-Ländern.  Während Deutschland bei der 5G Dienstbereitschaft auf Platz 1 im europäischen Vergleich liegt, müssen in anderen Bereichen noch weiterführende Maßnahmen getroffen werden, um dem Ziel der Weiterentwicklung der Digitalisierung gerecht zu werden. Hierzu gehört neben den Bereichen der IT-Sicherheit und der künstlichen Intelligenz außerdem der Bereich Blockchain. Um die Digitalisierung nicht zu verpassen, sind in den entsprechenden Bereichen bereits Maßnahmen geplant.Die Digitalisierung ist auch für das Controlling relevant. Die neuen digitalen Technologien können dabei als Werkzeug genutzt werden, um das Controlling effizienter zu gestalten und derzeitige Herausforderungen zu meistern. Zur Digitalisierung gehört die Blockchain-Technologie. Der Hauptvorteil der Blockchain liegt in der Eigenschaft der unveränderbaren Datenübertragung, woraus eine erhöhte Datenintegrität resultiert. Im Zuge dieses digitalen Wandels werden neue Geschäftsfelder und Geschäftsmodelle entstehen, die es zielorientiert zu steuern, planen und kontrollieren gilt. Zudem ist es wichtig, die relevanten Informationen zeitgerecht zu verwalten. Um mit dieser Herausforderung fertig zu werden, bedarf es erweiterten Kompetenzen, die die Voraussetzung für die effektive und effiziente Nutzung der neuen Konzepte und Tools bilden. Es ist daher von fundamentaler Bedeutung, dass Controller die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der verschiedenen Technologien, somit auch der Blockchain-Technologie, einschätzen können. Wenn die Technologie neben ihrer Anwendung im Bereich der Kryptowährungen ebenfalls als mögliche Infrastruktur für vernetzte Prozesse im Unternehmensbereich verstanden wird, lohnt es sich, genauer hinzusehen und die Anwendbarkeit der Blockchain speziell im Controlling zu durchleuchten

Housing, Race, and Exclusion in Twenty-First-Century Atlanta

Technische Fachhochschule Wildau, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel der vorliegenden Bachelorarbeit ist es, ein Verständnis von der Bedeutung der Digitalisierung in öffentlichen Verwaltungen als auch einen Überblick über den Weg und die Situation der Digitalisierung in den Kommunalverwaltungen des Landes Brandenburg zu bekommen. Dazu wurde, neben der Auswertung vorhandener Literatur und der Analyse aktueller Studien, auch eine eigene empirische Erhebung in Form von Expertengesprächen vorgenommen. Die Autorin erhofft sich mithilfe der Interviews, genauere Erkenntnisse über die aktuelle Situation in den Kommunen des Landes Brandenburg zu gewinnen. Diese wissenschaftliche Arbeit für sämtliche Personenkreise interessant, welche sich mit der Digitalisierung auf Kommunalebene beschäftigten. Eine Studie des Bundesverbandes für Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien (kurz: Bitkom) aus dem Jahr 2020 besagt, dass die Digitalisierung durch die Corona-Pandemie massiv an Bedeutung gewonnen hat. Somit stellt sich die Frage, ob ein Ausnahmezustand, wie die Covid-19 Situation, auch positive Nebeneffekte mit sich bringt. Wären wir ohne Corona beim selben Digitalisierungsstatus, wie wir es ohne die Pandemie wären? Vermutlich nicht. Darum soll es in dieser Arbeit auch nicht gehen. Fakt ist, dass diese besondere Situation ein zügiges Handeln erfordert hat. Plötzlich war es notwendig arbeitsplatzunabhängig arbeiten zu können, um Personenkontakte auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren. Die Beschaffung von mobilen Endgeräten ist hierbei noch eine der geringsten Herausforderungen. Kritischer sieht es mit der Errichtung einer sicheren IT-Infrastruktur aus, welche neben einem umfassenden technischen Knowhow, auch hohe zeitliche, personelle und finanzielle Ressourcen erfordert.

Three groups of actors are analyzed, which are the business sector with Managers and Business Organizations, the research sector including Universities and Scientists and the public sector which comprises Individuals as Society, NGOs/Unions and Governments/Regulative Authorities. Finally, I will discuss the results on a practical and theoretical basis. Therefore, I will evaluate the power and influence of each actor, consider the possibilities of collaborations and provide a theoretical analysis of the literature used.Since society is faced with grand challenges that include societal and environmental issues, responsible innovation represents a helpful solution to address these problems. As innovations and their development increase uncertainty regarding their impacts and will be more important in the future, integrating sustainability and responsibility in those processes will gain in relevance as well.
