'Humanism and Christian Charity: The History of the German Missions for the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire 1896-1919': The book examines the activities of the German Protestant and Catholic missions among the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire between 1896 and 1919. It tells in detail the history of all the main stations of the German missions, their goals and areas of activity. The missionaries were eyewitnesses of the Armenian genocide in 1915 and, despite the Ottoman Empire's policy of extermination, were able in most cases to transform their stations into oases of humanism and rescue.
