Youth Employment and Employability in the Global South
Reflections on Decolonisation and Empowerment
Colonialism is a red thread that connects the economic experience of people across large portions of Asia, Africa and the Caribbean, as well as their diaspora. This groundbreaking edited volume of the work from researchers from these areas is a reflection on youth empowerment and decolonisation, observed through the lens of employability, entrepreneurship and higher education. The influence of historical institutional power structures and processes, several through a feminist lens are explored and questioned. The volume highlights innovative and place-centred approaches, which characterise contemporary youth empowerment and that are reclaiming the future for people in the global south.
