The International Conference on Business Innovation (ICOBI) marks its eighth successful edition this year, continuing its legacy as a premier academic platform that bridges the disciplines of Management and Education. Organised by the Faculty of Business at NSBM Green University, ICOBI 2025 stands out for its broad thematic coverage and global reach. This year's conference features an impressive array of thematic tracks including: Economic Advancements and Business Analytics; Entrepreneurial Ecosystems and Innovations; Events, Tourism and Hospitality Management; Governance, Compliance and Legal Enforcements; Human Resource Management and Applications; Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Manufacturing and Service Operations; Marketing and Branding; Media and Communication; Strategic Business Transformation and Project Development; Accounting and Finance; Global and Sustainable Business Management; Adaptive Learning and Educational Practices; and Technology-Enhanced Language Learning.A distinct feature of ICOBI is its interdisciplinary focus, combining insights from both the management and education spheres to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration. The conference will host three distinguished keynote speakers, both local and international, who will address cutting-edge developments in both management and education. This year, ICOBI has attracted submissions from a diverse pool of scholars and practitioners, with around 90 papers already received, of which approximately 25% are authored by international contributors from countries such as Brazil, India, UK, Sweden, Australia, Indonesia and UAE.What sets ICOBI apart is not only its thematic richness but also the quality and rigour of its review process. Helena K. Jahromi develops the concept of the burden of enforcement as a new approach to analysing legal rules. The concept makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of legal norms in relation to the intended level of enforcement. The analysis is based on the assumption that enforcement is not only an opportunity but also a burden for the rights holder, who must take active steps to realise their rights. Whether enforcement through the courts actually occurs depends to a significant extent on the actors involved. The burden of enforcement thus connects doctrinal perspectives with empirical analyses of legal effectiveness. The use of technology can shift this burden by either automatically accessing goods or preventing legal violations without recourse to state authorities. The author examines the legal assessment of such forms of self-help, the contractual limits of enforcement mechanisms, and the criteria for the legislative allocation of the burden of enforcement in the context of new technologies.

This book presents fresh research on how Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), patterns of clustering, digitalization and innovation policies, interact and influence India's industrialisation and its greening or sustainability. As India seeks to accelerate its process of industrialization especially focusing on the manufacturing sector, different interactions between agents of industrialization need to be understood better through evidence-based research. The volume through its 17 original contributions, focuses on three broad interrelated themes: FDI, export performance, innovation and environmental sustainability; growth, competitiveness and spatial distribution of MSMEs concerning access to finance, digitalisation and sustainability; and, green technology, circular economy and challenges towards clean transition and green industrialization. Research presented in this book does not see industrialization as an isolated process from globalization and appreciates the need to act upon specific impacts of foreign trade and investments.
