'Precaution as a Principle. Contribution to the Dogmatics of the Precautionary Principle in EU Law': The precautionary principle in EU law looks back on a decades-long tradition, but its dogmatic structures and its interconnection with the principle of proportionality remain unclear. On the basis of epistemological and principle-theoretical studies, the author draws a comprehensive dogmatic concept for the applicability, application and effects of the precautionary principle and the determinants of a necessary balance between conflicting values and principles.
