The author decided to write this pamphlet to express his disappointment with Germany. 
In particular, Germany's development over the last 20 years gives him cause for concern, frustration and, very often, anger. 
On closer inspection of our country, especially from an international perspective, it is clear that there are significant signs of social decline, be it a lack of respect, dishonesty, insincerity, or a lack of commitment to anything or anyone, which is embodied by the so-called Merkel generation in particular. 

'What do my neighbours matter to me, as long as my life and my advancement are secure?' 
Since 2005, under the governments of Angela Merkel and her successors, Germany has fallen into a deep sleep, and waking up from it will be very painful. The idiotic austerity measures at any price and the reduction of state services are based on no foundation and no reasonable economic knowledge. The so-called black zero in the budget does not exist in economic theory. 

Germany's entire infrastructure, its moral state, its social constitution and its international reputation have suffered greatly. Intolerance, racism, hatred, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia have increased significantly. Politicians can no longer get this under control, and it is now up to us, society, to stand up and put a stop to these developments. 

The future of our country and our children, our prosperity, our happiness and our position in the world depend on it. 

Against this backdrop, this book puts its finger on the wounds of today's Germany. It adresses those who question themselves and society, a book against the hypocrisy and cowardice of German society and politics.

 But this behaviour can also be found in a similar form in other Western societies.

This book offers practical and systematic tools for understanding the controversial dynamics of de-radicalization and extremism in the context of global terrorism. Since 2010 there has been a sharp increase in the number of extreme jihadist groups around the world. A surge in right-wing radicalization marked by hate speech and anti-immigrant anxieties has also been noted. States have subsequently sought to develop approaches to counter these groups, with variable success. While some countries have been relatively successful in countering radicalization, others have seen an increase in the number of terrorist attacks. Using comparative analysis, this book examines the controversial subject of de-radicalization as a tool of the state in modifying political behaviour. Drawing on multiple country case studies, it assesses how governments around the world use counter-terrorism policies and measures, be it through policing, the judicial process, state-sponsored programs or community approaches, to address extremist radicalization. It also considers how effective these policies have been in modifying extremist forms of behaviour, and why some countries have been more successful than others. It will appeal to scholars and students of public policy, international human rights, international relations and counter-terrorism studies.

Dressays is an anthology of thought-provoking essays exploring how clothing can reveal the complex, deeply felt bonds we have with ourselves, our communities and the worlds through which we move. These deeply personal narratives demonstrate how, whether saturated with emotion or charged with political significance, dress both bears and shapes meaning. Collectively, they show how dress is as inextricable from shared cultures and histories as we are from the garments we wear. The contributions in this anthology articulate what is often felt but not seen when it comes to dress: how it ties us to other people, how it hides us even as it makes us visible, and how it helps us navigate and participate in our communities. They offer insight into a wide spectrum of human experiences, including how clothes relate to experiences of disability, chronic illness, religious faith, self-alienation and grief; of caring for a loved one, of being racialised, of coming to terms with one's sexuality, and of custodianship of the natural world. This edited volume explores the evolution of public sector reforms in Nigeria since the return to democracy in 1999. Marked by decades of inefficiency, corruption, and underperformance, Nigeria’s public sector has long required structural transformation. It critically examines the reform initiatives that emerged under President Obasanjo’s administration and beyond, offering a comprehensive review of the strategies, outcomes, and lingering challenges across multiple administrations.
