'Conversation Between Partisans. Correspondence between Carl Schmitt and Rolf Schroers': The writer, publicist and academy director Rolf Schroers (1919-1981) maintained close contact with Carl Schmitt (1888-1985) throughout his life, beginning in 1955. This correspondence, preserved almost in its entirety in 214 letters and response, is an important key to Schmitt's ¿Theory of the partisan¿ (1963), which responds directly to Schroers' book ¿Der Partisan¿ (1961) and would hardly have been written without Schroers, a prominent representative of the existentialist war generation who helped shape the political discourse of the old Federal Republic and was highly regarded by Carl Schmitt.
