Ce livre aux prétentions très modestes correspond à l'adaptation d'un mémoire rédigé par l'auteur, durant ses études de journalisme et communication, au sein de l'université de Picardie Jules Verne, à Amiens. Durant sa formation, l'auteur a vécu une expérience de journalisme radio véritablement inouïe dans cette ville où naquit justement l'inventeur de la radio, Edouard Branly ... Dany Mont a couvert les inondations du siècle dans la somme, pour la station locale du réseau Radio France, alors nommée France Bleue Picardie. Au printemps 2001, les pluies incessantes ont inondé les villes et les villages de ce département des Hauts de France. Les sinistrés étaient parfois obligés de fuir fasse à cette catastrophe. Certaines autoroutes se sont fissurées, devenant impraticables. Le premier ministre de l'époque, venu en hélicoptère à la rencontre de la population, s'est fait vertement rabrouer par les habitants, devant les micros et les caméras du monde entier ... Dès le début des inondations, les professionnels de la radio ont modifié les programmes pour informer les habitants de l'évolution de la situation, d'abord toutes les demi-heures, puis toutes les heures. Ils ont relayé, et parfois impulsé, la mise en place d'actions de solidarité. Les habitants témoigneront leur reconnaissance à cette radio, qui deviendra la plus écoutée de la région. Elle le restera très longtemps. Les professionnels de la radio seront officiellement félicités par les plus hautes autorités du pays. Dany Mont a vécu tout cela en direct. Réalisant plus de quarante cinq reportages en un mois. En total empathies avec les sinistrés qu'il interviewait, au fil de ses reportages. &gt;C'est cette expérience journalistique hors du commun que l'auteur a retranscrit dans cet ouvrage. Non pas à la manière d'un récit, comme dans un roman, mais bien plutôt à la manière d'une analyse en sciences de l'information et de la communication.

The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State is an 1884 philosophical treatise by Friedrich Engels. It is partially based on notes by Karl Marx to Lewis H. Morgan's book Ancient Society (1877). The book is an early historical materialist work and is regarded as one of the first major works on family economics.

The writing of The Origin of the Family began in early April 1884, and was completed on 26 May. Engels began work on the treatise after reading Marx's handwritten synopsis of Lewis H. Morgan's Ancient Society; or, Researches in the Lines of Human Progress from Savagery, Through Barbarism to Civilization, first published in London in 1877. Engels believed that Marx had intended to create a critical book-length treatment of the ideas suggested by Morgan, and aimed to produce such a manuscript to fulfill his late comrade's wishes

Kamal Shair's book is a classic rags to riches story: the village boy, who with determination and education, achieves business success, wealth, more wealth, and then influence and power. The Souls of Black Folk: Essays and Sketches is a 1903 work of American literature by W. E. B. Du Bois. It is a seminal work in the history of sociology and a cornerstone of African-American literature.

The book contains several essays on race, some of which had been published earlier in The Atlantic Monthly. To develop this work, Du Bois drew from his own experiences as an African American in American society. Outside of its notable relevance in African-American history, The Souls of Black Folk also holds an important place in social science as one of the early works in the field of sociology.
