Disrupting the Status Quo of Senior Living

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich BWL - Personal und Organisation, Note: 3,0, Universität Paderborn (Ernährung, Konsum und Gesundheit), Veranstaltung: Sozioökonomische Grundlagen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Für den Erfolg eines Unternehmens ist es unter anderem enorm wichtig, motivierte Mitarbeiter zu haben und diese motiviert zu halten. Eine hohe Motivation seitens der Mitarbeiter verspricht erhöhte Einsatzbereitschaft und gesteigerte Kreativität. Solch motivierte Mitarbeiter steigern den Unternehmenserfolg, daher greifen verschiedene Unternehmen auf unterschiedliche Anreizsysteme oder auf eine Kombination dieser zu.Im März 2013 schrieb das Handelsblatt "Fehlende Motivation kostet Firmen Milliarden" und bezieht sich dabei auf die Gallup-Studien, die seit 2001 jährlich erstellt werden. Diese beinhalten einen "Engagement Index", der besagt, dass aktuell nur etwa 15% aller Arbeitnehmer hochmotiviert arbeiten und 25% schon innerlich gekündigt haben. Letztere Gruppe ist eine Bedrohung für den Erfolg eines Unternehmens. Nicht zuletzt, da eine schlechte oder nicht vorhandene Motivation der Mitarbeiter Fehlzeiten und somit Kosten verursacht. Da der Faktor Personal zur entscheidenden Einflussgröße für den Unternehmenserfolg insbesondere im Dienstleistungsbereich geworden ist, ist das Befassen mit Anreizsystem aus Unternehmerperspektive unabdingbar. Darüber, ob und in wie weit die verschiedenen Anreizsysteme die Mitarbeitermotivation steigern können oder welche Hindernisse oder gar Nachteile seitens des Unternehmers entstehen, soll in dieser vorliegenden Arbeit ein Überblick geschaffen werden. Daneben soll ein innovatives Modell wie das Cafeteria-Modell beleuchtet werden.Außerdem muss geklärt werden, mit welchen Methoden Unternehmer überhaupt feststellen können, ob etwaige Anreizsysteme Anklang finden, die Mitarbeiter zu motivieren und nicht zuletzt, inwieweit dies festgestellt oder gemessen werden kann. Diese Anreize, oder Incentives, sollen an das Erreichen von Qualitäts- oder Kundenzufriedenheitszielen

This is a compilation of years of service-industry (hospitality) experiences. I see a definite need for a champion to arise and make a statement about lower management to employee positions. I call it American Sweatshops, because it is a reality in our country. This industry follows the ideals of nineteenth-century America for lower management. It is by far the largest segment of the current working population. To this end, there is a need to change; otherwise, this will end up being a class unto itself. It’s an industry that needs laws to protect its workers from both the owners and corporate executives. These are your sons and daughters trying to get a leg up in life and not be exploited by the industry. I am looking for an unbiased group to look into and monitor the industry. Possibly, the secretary of the service industry as a new cabinet position. I want to turn this to a win-win for both the public, the workers, and yes, even the owners. A happy environment manifests more and consistent profitability for the long term. Let’s bring back American vision and growth.
