DAISY CHAINS is an anthology of poems exploring every facet of girlhood and growth; from heartbreak, loss, growth and becoming someone you finally recognise again. Karisma Takhar's debut collection was written over a period of three years, and very poem has been threaded together with the same tenderness and care as a daisy chain.

The completion and publication of this text are a result of every prayer, birthday candle wish and dream I've made and had since the age of six. I'm first and foremost a reader, and if I weren't, I'd never be able to write. As writers, we are empaths. It's our role to feel every emotion on the spectrum intensely and transcribe every sentiment on to paper. These poems were written by an empath, and they are to be read by you.
