Che Guevara's Economic Thought

Am 17. Februar 2019 wäre Walter Grab 100 Jahre alt geworden. Sein persönlicher Werdegang spiegelt die Herausforderungen und politischen Verwerfungen des 20. Jahrhunderts wider. Als Historiker hat er wichtige Beiträge zur Demokratiegeschichte und ihrer Verbindung zur Emanzipation der Juden geleistet. Insbesondere die Französische Revolution und ihre Wirkungsgeschichte haben ihn lebenslang beschäftigt. Dabei stand auch die Frage im Mittelpunkt, weshalb die Ideen der Revolution in Deutschland nicht den gleichen Erfolg hatten wie etwa in Frankreich oder England. Diese Forschungen verknüpfte er mit einem anderen großen Thema, zu dem er ebenfalls bedeutende Beiträge geleistet hat: Dem Verhältnis zwischen der Demokratiebewegung und der Emanzipation der Juden in Europa. Im Rahmen eines interdisziplinären Kolloquiums am Europa Kolleg und dem Institut für die Geschichte der deutschen Juden in Hamburg wurden seine Arbeiten gewürdigt und mit der Frage nach der Zukunft der Demokratie in Europa verknüpft werden. Die Automobilbranche stellt eine der wichtigsten Industrien in Deutschland dar. Ein Fünftel der 25 größten Unternehmen weltweit waren 2015 Automobilhersteller. Der Absatz von Personenkraftwagen ist in den letzten Jahren stark gestiegen. Daraus lässt sich schließen, dass die Automobilbranche sehr wettbewerbsintensiv ist. Es herrscht eine hohe Konkurrenz und damit verbunden ein hoher Kostendruck. Weiterhin zählt die Automobilbranche zu den Kundenmärkten. Kunden haben vermehrt individuellere Anforderungen an Fahrzeuge, dies macht die effiziente Konstruktion ihrer Modelle immer schwieriger.Wichtig ist es für Automobilhersteller deshalb ihre Kosten gut im Blick zu behalten und zu versuchen, diese an den richtigen Stellen zu senken, ohne dabei Mehrwert für den Kunden zu verlieren. Die Herausforderung besteht vor allem darin, das Produkt so kosteneffizient wie möglich zu gestalten, so dass es dem Kunden den meisten Mehrwert bietet bei zugleich geringst möglichen Kosten. Target Costing bietet hierbei eine Möglichkeit, um genau dieses Ziel zu erreichen.

Being wealthy is such an excellent subject that most people have different meanings. To some others, there are no such things as being wealthy; however, being rich is not Everything, for money cannot buy Everything; also, money is a part of us, for it is God that has given us the ability to get Wealth. Per-(Deut. 8:18 NIV), "So, remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today." For instance, Jesus was one of the most outstanding examples; in terms of being wealthy due to His magnificent service to humanity. In other words, Being wealthy is not having a significant "net worth," it is simply finding Love and value for whatever pleases you! The ordinary rich people enjoy their life casually with unusual things.  Although per data, "Wealth is the total of assets (things that you own) that give you financial security. The word wealth carries the idea of abundance and security." So, abundance consists of different things. Still, you must embrace that concept to become wealthy; for a good parent, leave in the entrance for his loved ones.    In (2019), in a survey from Charles Schwab, participants said, "it takes $2.3 million to be wealthy. 1 . With $2.3 million, you could generate $138,000 in annual passive income (assuming a return of 6%)." So, from another perspective, being wealthy is simply the joy, confidence, Love, happiness, and service you tend to provide for humanity; in terms of altruism for a brighter future. So, everyone can be successful wherever they are if they allow their hearts to lead them even with a fraction of what they have passionately!

One of these business strategies, which will be the focus of this work, is the cost leadership strategy with the publishing house Reclam as an example. In the following, therefore, the main question to be clarified is to what extent the success and the acquisition of the competitive advantage of the publishing house Reclam is related to the strategy of cost leadership.  That there has been a book series for well over 100 years that still has the same idea and roughly the same format, is something very special. The book series that is meant by this comes from Reclam and is known in Germany as “Universal-Bibliothek”. It was intended to constitute a canon, indicating what an educated person should have read. In addition to the long-standing existence of the book series, the very high level of awareness of these books stands out in particular. Today it is difficult to find a student who does not know the yellow books from the publishing house Reclam, because everyone read them – out of obligation or even for pleasure. The reason for that is when classics like Goethe’s “Faust” are on the curriculum, teachers usually recommend buying the low-priced books by Reclam. Another important fact is that Reclam’s “Universal Bibliothek” became one of the most important book brands in Germany. But how did the publishing house Reclam gained this competitive advantage? In this context, the strategy of companies and thus also of publishers plays a very important role. Especially the strategic management model helps “to identify potentially superior positions in the market place and to find ways in which firm competencies can be used effectively to assume these positions.“
