 ausgewählt wurde. Die Simple Minds hatten ihren ersten Nummer-1-Hit in den USA und traten ihren Siegeszug durch die großen Hallen und Stadien der Welt an.

 

 40 Jahre später sind Jim Kerr und Charlie Burchill immer noch die treibende Kraft hinter den Simple Minds, die 2022 mit 
 Direction Of The Heart
 ihr 20. Album veröffentlichten. Was hinter den Kulissen der Band, aber auch sonst in ihrem Leben geschah, haben die beiden jetzt zusammen mit dem britischen Journalisten Graeme Thomson in Worte gefasst. Zwei Männer, zwei Erinnerungen, zwei verschiedene Stimmen - auf diese Weise ist die Autobiografie der Simple Minds nicht nur zu einem großen Rock-Buch geworden, sondern würdigt vor allem eine ganz besondere Freundschaft, die bis heute hält.
