Editorial Convergence and Working Conditions in German News Journalism

Based on interviews with 19 editorial managers and a survey of 232 journalists, the author connects editorial convergence and working conditions. He reveals the impact of changing structures, roles, and workflow on editorial performance: The author argues that carefully considering journalists' working conditions is a key factor for quality and success in journalism.
