Corporate Sustainability and Circular Economy

European Policies, ESG Standards, and Strategic Business Practice
This book examines how sustainability, corporate social responsibility and circular economy models are redefining corporate strategies and governance in Europe. It explores the growing convergence between European regulatory frameworks and corporate practices in promoting sustainable development, transparency and long-term value creation. The volume traces the evolution of international and European sustainability policies and analyses the changing role of businesses in addressing environmental and social challenges. It discusses corporate governance, non-financial reporting, sustainability reporting and measurement tools, highlighting how corporate social responsibility is shifting from a voluntary approach to a strategic driver of competitiveness. The book also examines circular economy models and their impact on value chains, innovation and business performance. Combining regulatory and managerial perspectives, this book is intended for academics, students and professionals interested in sustainability and the circular economy.   Vincenza Vota is a professor of Accounting at the University of Insubria.
