'Algorithmic Decision Systems in Sentencing': The thesis examines the technical and legal foundations of Algorithmic Decision Systems in sentencing. It demonstrates that, despite practical implementation challenges, the development of such systems appears in principle feasible for the purpose of supporting judicial decisions. From a legal perspective, their use is permissible - provided that, in particular, judicial independence and the fundamental rights of the defendant are fully safeguarded at all stages of deployment and use.
