Emotionale Perspektivierung im ‚wissenschaftlichen‘ Roman des 19. Jahrhunderts

Inhalt

This study takes an innovative approach to analyzing emotional participation in fictional worlds and characters, taking up theories from literary studies, cognitive psychology, and philosophy. On this basis, it examines three novels from French realism-naturalism to demonstrate the extent to which the reader’s emotional involvement can be seen as an independent form of conveying knowledge.
