Maa: The Heart and Law of Islam

The Heart and Law of Islam

A Journey Through Fiqh and Aqeedah

This work presents a classical Islamic exposition of the Excellent (Beautiful) Names of God (al-Asm¿¿ al-¿usn¿) as transmitted through the Qur'¿n and the teachings of the Prophet Müammad ¿. Drawing upon authoritative lexical sources and established exegetical traditions, the book offers a structured explanation of each Divine Name, accompanied by linguistic clarification and moral reflection.
The text carefully distinguishes between the essential Name of God (Ism al-Dh¿t) and the attributive Names (Asm¿¿ al-¿if¿t), situating them within the broader framework of Islamic theology. Each Name is examined through Qur'¿nic usage, supported by classical Arabic lexicons and recognized tafs¿r authorities, while also highlighting the ethical and spiritual implications for individual conduct.
Rather than speculative theology or philosophical abstraction, the work remains grounded in textual evidence, emphasizing how knowledge of the Divine Names shapes faith, devotion, and moral responsibility. The classification of the Names under themes of transcendence (Sub¿¿n All¿h), praise (al-¿amdu li-Ll¿h), and magnification (All¿hu Akbar) reflects a traditional pedagogical structure found in classical devotional literature.
This volume is intended for students of Islamic studies, researchers of Qur'¿nic theology, and readers seeking a disciplined introduction to the Divine Attributes within Sunni scholarly tradition. It is equally suited for academic libraries and serious general readers interested in Islamic theology, Qur'¿nic studies, and ethical spirituality.

The Excellent Names of God with Lexical and Exegetical Notes

The Rise and Fall of the Muslims is an analytical and critical study of Islamic history examining the moral, spiritual, and political factors that shaped the trajectory of Muslim civilization. Authored by Maulana Saeed Akbar Abadi, the work traces the formative period of Islamic governance from the era of the Khulaf¿¿ al-R¿shid¿n through the Umayyad, Abbasid, Ottoman, Andalusian, and Mughal periods.
The book situates political authority within the Qur'¿nic framework of taw¿¿d (Divine Unity), taqw¿ (piety), justice, and public accountability. It highlights how adherence to revelation, ethical governance, and supervision of authority contributed to early Muslim ascendancy, while internal dissension, moral decline, administrative corruption, and weakening of religious commitment are identified as causes of deterioration.
Major themes include:The Caliphate and its juristic foundations
Governance under Banu Umayyah and Banu Abbas
The Ottoman (¿l-e-¿Usm¿n) polity and its decline
Muslim rule in Andalusia and India
Spiritual and intellectual vitality as civilizational foundations
Causes of degeneration in political and moral life

The work adopts a reflective historiographical method, combining narrative history with moral analysis. Rather than presenting political theory in modern ideological terms, it frames Muslim ascendancy and decline through adherence to, or departure from, Qur'¿nic principles and prophetic guidance.
This volume is suitable for scholars, students of Islamic history, and institutional libraries seeking a comprehensive interpretive account of Muslim political civilization within its classical religious framework.

The family (al-usrah) constitutes the fundamental unit of society in Islamic thought, serving as a bridge between generations and the primary locus for the cultivation of religious values. This comprehensive volume, published by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, presents a structured analysis of the family institution, grounded in the Qur¿¿n, the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), and established juristic principles.
Key Themes Examined:Human Dignity and Creation: An examination of the human being (ins¿n) as the vicegerent (khal¿fah) on earth, emphasizing self-knowledge and the pursuit of virtue as prerequisites for a healthy family union.
The Marriage Contract (Nik¿¿): A detailed exploration of spouse selection based on religious compatibility, the engagement process as a period of mutual acquaintance, and the solemnization of marriage as a "firm commitment" (m¿th¿q ghal¿¿). The text addresses legal components such as the bridal gift (mahr) and the prohibition of culturally superstitious practices.

The Family our most precious treasure

My Islamic Studies Workbook

Islam and the Earliest Muslims: Two Conflicting Portraits presents a structured examination of the formative Islamic era through the lens of revelation, Prophetic guidance, and the historical character of the first Muslim community. Written by Mawl¿n¿ Sayyid Abul Hasan ¿Al¿ Nadw¿, the work explores the foundations upon which Islam claims universality, permanence, and guidance for humanity.
The book begins by identifying essential prerequisites for a universal religion: miraculous guidance, the distinction between Prophets and political empire-builders, the preservation of divine scripture, and the necessity of a singular source of religious authority. These themes are examined through Qur¿¿nic evidence, historical testimony, and observations concerning the earliest generations of Muslims.
A substantial portion of the work focuses on the transformative effect of Prophetic guidance upon the ¿ä¿bah, presenting their moral character, devotion, integrity, and social conduct as historical evidence of the success of the Prophetic mission. The author draws upon Muslim and non-Muslim testimonies, historical reports, and classical sources to illustrate the distinctive nature of the earliest Islamic community.
The volume further discusses the preservation of the Qur¿¿n, the doctrine of Khatm al-Nubuwwah (Finality of Prophethood), the role of guidance in Islam, and contrasting theological portrayals of early Islamic history. Throughout the work, arguments are framed through textual evidence, historical analysis, and juristic reasoning rather than polemical rhetoric.
Of particular importance is the author's effort to compare differing presentations of Islam against the historical record, encouraging readers to examine the earliest Muslim generation through documented evidence and the primary principles of the faith.
Suitable for scholars, students of Islamic studies, academic libraries, researchers of Islamic intellectual history, and readers seeking a deeper understanding of the formative period of Islam, this volume offers a thoughtful study of religious authority, scripture, communal formation, and the ethical legacy of the earliest Muslims.
Grounded in historical sources and classical Islamic scholarship, the work contributes to the study of Islamic belief, Prophetic guidance, and the development of the first Muslim society within its historical and textual context.

Distinctions between Believers versus Disbelievers

The globalization of law necessitates compelling moral narratives because the persuasiveness of law depends on the moral recognition (acceptance) of the idea of law. Therefore, copyright law must also be grounded on an interreligious and intercultural value foundation. The legal systems of Islamic countries - such as Iran's - have significantly differentiated and developed independently from Western legal systems. When comparing these legal systems one can expect the greatest possible differences while also assuming that the commonalities approach universal norms of justice as closely as possible. Thus, the connecting narratives represent a universal moral imperative to protect creators.

Urheberrecht und Scharia

A thoughtful and timely response to the many questions surrounding the place of women in Islam, this book offers clarity without defensiveness, depth without complexity, and truth without polemics. Written by a respected academic, it draws from both authentic Islamic sources and the realities of contemporary society, making it especially relevant for students, educators, and readers interested in faith, gender, and justice.
The chapters explore a woman's spiritual standing, legal rights, role in the family and society, and contributions throughout history, dispelling myths and addressing misconceptions along the way. The tone is balanced and direct, avoiding over-idealization while refusing to accept distorted narratives.
This is not a book about comparison or critique of other cultures-it is an invitation to understand how Islam sees women as honored, responsible, and capable, not despite their identity as women, but because of it. For Muslim readers, it may serve as a gentle reminder; for others, it may offer a new lens through which to view a faith often misrepresented.
Dignity, agency, and purpose-these are the cornerstones of the portrait drawn here.
