'Hate Speech in Social Media. A Phenomenological and Criminal Law Analysis': This thesis focuses on the phenomenon of hate speech in social media and analyses whether the current German criminal law is able to capture and sanction it under criminal law. In particular, it also takes a closer look at the Act to Combat Hate Crime and Right-Wing Extremism, which came into force in 2021, and examines whether the legislator has succeeded in achieving its self-imposed goal of better capturing and sanctioning hate speech in social media.
