Staatliche Überwachung im deutsch-französischen Rechtsvergleich

'Government Surveillance - German-French Comparative Law Analysis': The protection of fundamental rights in the context of government surveillance continues to be a subject of controversy, most recently also at the supranational level. This thesis uses "wirklichkeitsnahe Rechtsvergleichung" to examine selected powers and their application in Germany and France. Driven by the case law of the ECJ and the ECtHR, the two historically different legal systems are increasingly converging, although significant differences persist with regard to the protection of fundamental rights and the frequency of application.
